some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?” and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is “unofficial”, and we know that’s not the right word, but it’s the only word we can come up with…until finally it’s like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is “artificial”.

Jesus, I want what Rian was on when he was writing Martha, because when I sat down to rewatch the trilogy it's so clear he made her as a dark 'what if' to poor Marta. Names aside: here's a woman who goes overlooked by the people around her, an invisible worker who's never appreciated. Working in an environment that hates her for what she is (an immigrant in the Thrombey house for Marta, a woman in the church for Martha) but it's okay, because they're one of the good ones. And they have a friend! The patriarch of the family that runs the place they work. And then that man, that father figure, pulls them aside and tells them that they're cutting their family out of their fortune. Mart(h)a watches the man they were closest to kill themselves in front of them. And for the entire movie Marta believes the narrative Ransom spins: that she killed Harlan. And for the entire movie Martha believes in the Harlot Whore. Right up until the very end.

every month i look forward to mcc and it NEVER disappoints. like all the different games and team combinations are soso peak!!! all the fun interactions the excitement of all the games and suspense in dodgebolt i am so so joyous after watching…… if i ever stop watching other mcyt i think i will still always come back for mcc

also congrats to the goats red rabbits for winning this mcc!!!!! the vibes were immaculate and very prideful and gay (not even hindered by grian saying the most straight man sentence of “me and the guys have been up watching random football games”) and i think the world record for wool rushing was set in battle box it was so funny

also shelby’s final shot in dodgebolt was epic!

ok i just watched knives out glass onion and i just want to appreciate peg. she is just chilling on this luxury island with birdie and is the only way birdie is succeeding at like. anything ever. i also love them as a duo they’re so funny

and then she’s roped into this crazy murder case and she’s just kind of there being hella gay for helen. one of my favourite side characters ever she’s my wife now actually

may i say that i absolutely love that Zooble is the first person to speak up and talk to him, they have always had issues with him but they also spoke to him to most out of everyone (the therapy session for example) so for Zooble to reach out first is so important to me T-T
