We lost everything. My mother and I are heartbroken. We were renting this place from someone and he was the last person to be there (which he’s not supposed to) after the accident and now he’s blaming my mother for it. We also paid for this month (oct 1st 2019) but he’s refusing to give us our rent money back. I am looking for more hours. My mother does not have the strength to work anymore but is still looking for a job. Plus I can’t afford to fix my damage laptop and another place to rent. We contacted 211 and made lots of calls for shelters. Now we are waiting for a response. Right now we are sleeping at the owners place on hard wood floor for three weeks until he kick us out. We are both staying strong and positive.

It’s depressing how we all posted so much about an old church burning, me included, and most of us haven’t even heard of what’s going on in Sudan right now. I only learned about the situation recently, the international media coverage is lacking/almost non-existent, a media blackout is happening in Sudan and things are being censored while so many people were killed and hurt horribly or have gone missing. Let us all at least try and spread awareness about the #SudanMassacre.
