Belphie got to join me on an important business call today

enough time has passed that I feel comfortable revealing this.

I was soooooooo so so so nervous going into a video call with this publisher (because if they bought my book, it would be life-changing!) so the day before the call, I went downtown, climbed up four flights of stairs, stripped nude in a room, and let someone spray tan me. because I thought I'd be like 15% more charming with a tan. anyway, that's my dark secret. I won't say the publisher bought my book solely because of my tan, but we don't have any other version of reality. so there you go.
