July 22 - An ant colony prepares its alate squad for departure.
I wanted to capture the moments when the workers were cleaning them, but due to the lack of professional lens it only focused on a small area:")

poor man's rabbit.
one of my goals for this holiday was to catch a PINK grasshopper. the pink color is caused by a mutation called erythrocyte.
A wonderful Argiope bruennichi male. Though the Polish common name (Tygrzyk paskowany - literally striped tigery) is so much cuter.
poland in summertime photo album
hello, friends! if you are spending at least a small part of your summer (which in this case we will define as the period between june 2nd and september 30th) in Poland, this proposition is for you!
we are making an album that will compile photos of poland - the landscapes, the nature, the cities, the food, anything you can capture - taken in this period. i invite you all to share yours
using this form
there are a few rules:
you must be the author of the photo and the photo must be taken in poland this year between june 2nd and september 30th.
please do not submit photos of individual identifiable people. yes, even if it's your own selfie.
you can submit a few variations of the same photo (up to five) - using the same form. i will choose my favourite from among them.
you can tweak the colors, contrasts, light etc using editing software, but please refrain from submitting full photomanipulations or collages. i hope it goes without saying that ai generated stuff is banned.
i reserve the rights to change the dimensions of a photo to make it the same size as other photos in the album.
i would like all the photos in the album to be credited: you can use either your legal name or any pseudonym you wish in the form. you can also include a link to your social media or website. anddd you can also add some commentary for the photo - an associated memory, for example.
fill the form out in either polish or english - i will probably make the finished album bilingual so i will translate into the other language.
the album will be published sometime in october.
Pair of Misumenops crap spiders on my willow tree. If You look up closely the smaller one is feasting on a greenfly
(Photos taken with my phone, saddly)
Hmm gotta look at macro lens ads to relax
Hey
That's Pixal Ninjago
Don't even have an Olympus camera lol
I took this picture ages ago with my laowa lens. It turned out really nice I think. But Legos aren't as fun to photograph as bugs. I YEARN to photograph the bugs but the weather's been shit
Incredibly tiny bug very full of pollen
as far as super common bugs go Chrysolina bankii is an old reliable, the perfect find if you want to hold a shiny little black thing for a bit, to see your distorted reflection on its elytra, or simply to go "oh hey it's C. bankii season again". if you don't want to do any of that, they'll show up anyway. they love to show up
you can also get them to stare back at you if you want. this elicits no response because their eyesight probably sucks but the option is there
