Molly is from G1. She is looking at a smartphone. There is no cellular signal at the edge of the world. Is she ignoring the Unicorn, or is it that she cannot even perceive Her?

I can’t deny this...
1. How does the wing attach to a pegasus/alicorn body?
2. How does the rest of the wing work.

What is the deal with Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, and Starlight Glimmer? It can’t be a coincidence.
I think they must all be a reference to something. Some obscure historical figure or fictional character that only huge nerds know about. And then these nerds grew up and had kids and every one of them thought they were being SO clever and SO subtle and they had no idea that at the same time a hundred other nerds were doing the exact same thing, until their kids all went to school together and the secondhand embarrassment was so intense it could be seen from space.
Okay so I was just making a silly joke post here but then I realized… this probably actually is how pony names work.
Like, pony names are highly idiosyncratic. I can’t recall off the top of my head any canonical instance of two ponies having the exact same name. Certainly it’s something that would happen, every so often, but it doesn’t seem to be something ponies would go for intentionally. In fact it almost seems like they intentionally avoid it.
Some pony families seem to have generational names (the Pie sisters), family names (the Cakes), or family naming themes (the Apples), but this doesn’t seem ubiquitous. Sweetie Belle and Rarity, for example, don’t seem to follow any sort of obvious pattern.
So when you have a foal and want to name them after another pony, you don’t just copy the name. You create a new name, but a similar one. We’ve seen this done using synonyms (Sparkle/Shimmer/Glimmer), but theoretically ponies might also use a similarity of sound rather than concept, like assonance/consonance or rhyme (I don’t think we have canonical evidence of that but for me it just rings true for what ponies are like). And it’s likely that some ponies would make names that are metaphorically or symbolically similar rather than literal synonyms, possibly giggling as their friends try to figure out just who this little foal is named after.
And this also makes it possible, and something some pony parents might take as a fun challenge, to name your foal after multiple different ponies, simultaneously. Without actually having the same name as any of them!
Names like Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer would probably be considered to be in the same name family. There’d probably be a whole study of name families. With names like the above it’d probably be pretty easy to say they stem from a common origin, but with names like [food item] or [type of flower] it’d probably be difficult to figure out which are related and which are just coincidentally similar.
So yeah basically ponies name their foals after other ponies using metaphor and word play and symbolism rather than directly copying names and I think that’s awesome.
