Brief vent about me getting COVID in the USA: I'm upset, I know I've caught it for a third time now even though I've tried to be safe. The battery of symptoms and the burning scent of cells dying in my nose are all too distinct. It's less severe and I got a vaccine this year, but it's still not fun at all and very worrisome.

That would be troublesome on its own, but the thing that's *really* frustrating is that it was impossible to find lab testing, and all of the CDC resources are "under maintenance" or not found. State resources similarly all redirect to a generic page for seasonal respiratory illnesses.

My health provider refuses testing for same-day care appointments, testing is only required if my primary care doctor orders it, but she is booking two months out. Since this variant and my infection seem mild, it's not being picked up by at home tests. So I can't have a way to legitimize it and add it onto my medical chart.

I'm grumpy and have literally no one I can bitch to about this, and everyone is going about their life as normal. I still gotta push to get stuff done too and will mask wherever I won't get accosted for it. :/

Honestly it boils down to reparenting yourself & rewiring your own neuronal pathways & telling yourself a firm “stop” when you notice your mind slipping down negative loopholes & being present in the moment & enjoying being mid task rather than waiting for it to end & not thinking of inertia as your baseline and natural way of living
