Review: Citrus Manga by Saburouta
Hello friends,
I wanted to share one of my most prized and favourite Shoujou-Ai, AKA Lesbian Romantic Graphic Novels: Citrus.
Citrus is one of the best mangas I have ever read. It is suitable for teens and young adults as it does not show anything too rated R.
Yuzi and Mei are both extremely innocent, yet full of emotions.
Characters are good, along with storyline and plot.
As a young adult, I did not realize how much I enjoyed reading this manga. I also did not realize that I am actually romantically interested to women o.O

I first read Citrus somewhere online. Saburouta had just published the first couple of volumes in Japanese and it was getting translated to English.
I also did not know that bookstores in Alberta, Canada would actually sell these! I remembered I was at the bookstore at the outlet mall near Calgary. I was at the graphic novel section at Indigo's and I stumbled upon Vol. 1 - 3! It was just right there, laying in front of me. I JUST HAD TO GET THEM!
After the first 3 volumes, I have been trying so hard not to read the most up to date translated chapters. I have been waiting patiently for Saburouta to publish the English versions and shipped over to Canada. Honestly, I could not believe those years have passed already. I finally have collected the final volume of Citrus.
Not trying to spoil it, but the ending was very good AND very satisfying. i just wish the story will never end.
I highly recommend giving Citrus a read. It is very hard for LGBTQ+ graphic novels get published in Canada! These are so hard to come by.
I am also in a dilemma. Should I sell these books, or should keep them?
A part of me wants to let the next person to enjoy the volumes. Another part of me tells me to not sell it and keep it all for myself.
DECISIONS, DECISIONS!
Let me know what you think I should do, haha :)
Thank you for reading!
Have a great day, and stay safe everyone <3
