Coulson stepped forward and grabbed Tony by that shoulders, holding somewhat protectively. “Stark, hey, breathe.” He said in professional but comforting tone. “I know, I know. Stark, you need to calm down, I’m here now. Alright?”

Tony all but collapsed against the agent, his hands clutching onto the lapels of his jacket. “Why?” He whispered, face pressing into Phil’s shoulder. “Why didn’t anybody tell us? We mourned, Phil. All of us.” His voice was shaky at best, but he was struggling to hold himself together.

"Hey, hey, just breathe. It’s okay, everything is okay." Coulson tried his best to consol the frazzled man. His hands came up and gripped Tony’s shoulders back. "I can’t tell you why. Because I don’t know why myself. I couldn’t tell you, that’s all I know. I was dying, nearly dead before SHIELD worked their magic on me. I wanted to tell you, I did. I apologize."

Tony shook his head softly, burrowing further against the man’s shoulder. “It’s fine. I don’t blame you, Ph-Agent,” he stuttered, angry at himself for almost slipping up, not that him sobbing against the man wasn’t enough of a sign that he cared for him. He drew back slowly and offered the man a watery smile. “Can we,” he whispered, glancing around at all the other agents milling around. “Go somewhere private?”

Coulson stood straightened himself up a bit more, still holding onto Tony. He couldn't help a ghost of a smirk sneak into the corner of his lip at Tony's minor slip up. "Yeah, Mr. Stark. We can." He helped him over to a place where there weren't any agetns around and they were out of ear shot. "This good?"

The Widow turn around for a bit as she heard a similar voice from the back of the room. “Agent Coulson. Nice to see you again. Alive and well.” She gave a minimum smile. “How things lately with those new agents?”

"Agent Romanoff, good to see you, as always." He returned her slight smile. "The team is doing well, still learning to get along though. I think you and Agent Ward would get along just fine, though. How are you?"
