mutual aid request:
my fellow comrades and generally decent people, i don't share much personal info on social media, bc ya know... social media... but i need y'alls help.
i am a squatter temporarily living in the Netherlands in a compound with fellow comrades. we sqatted this large piece of land where we build our solar powered tiny houses.
on that same land, we grow fruits & vegetables and distribute those to ppl in need at our local food pantry.
neighbours and local shop-owners donate leftovers and toiletries which we hand out to the homeless, and each week we prepare 500 hot meals for the homeless and ppl who can't afford a hot meal every day.
four months ago we opened a communal kitchen and shower, so everyone without access to one is able to cook their own meal or clean themselves.
once a month we organize a kids clothing market where the neighborhood children can get some high quality, new looking, second hand clothes. just outside our gate we built a library and school supply unit from reclaimed microwaves.
this is very fulfilling work, but it's also a lot of work that takes an entire community.
we are sharing our modus operandi with communities around the world bc mutual aid=💜. unfortunately this process isn't free and me and my comrades could use all the help we can get.
