Its so weird looking at past pictures of myself. Old pre trans pics are easy to look at and show people because it feels like a completely different human, like a twin i never had. Objectively i know its me but its not the same face i see in the mirror so theres a disconnect in my brain. My current collection of custom Signalis minifigs. spent way too long drawing all the different versions. Not sure if I bite the bullet and do the other replikas or just start making scenes from the game.

Figured out I could import .obj files into stud.io, so I may have used the cryo room model to create an almost 1-to-1 scaled version (it also means I can now pose Elster with the actual gun models and not the blocky Lego one). This is the first successful lighting test based on the version in the opening. Honestly, I'm just delaying making it all red and putting Ariane in the pod because I know I'll have to rewatch the promise ending for reference, so I will 100% cry.

Will definitely make Ariane's bedroom at a later date (so i can make them dance). Might make the whole interior of the Penrose, but I'm not holding myself to that because that's a monumental endeavour.

I am sick to death of looking for any type of manga/manhwa/manhua/webcomic with a strong female lead and then being annoyed when the hyper fem looking mc on the cover art turns out to be a guy.

My go to read is yuri, but like 85% of yuri revolves around a high school story. i get it, coming out storys and gay babys first romance is cute, i love them too; but im 27 and would like to read more about adults in love than tennagers in love. But i cant have everything so when i want action i settle for fem mc, no romance at all(the presence of a man in a romance just kills it for me, im a dyke, this is not new, id prefer zero romance to hetero).

You know what makes that just a little hard? Do you know what makes my eye twitch when i want to find something with action and adventure?

I just finished playing through twilight princess for the first time (with the linkle mod because of course thats how i play all 3d zeldas).

Holy fucking shit. I loved it. The tension with Midna at the end is palpable; they're so gay for eachother and then when she says "I..." and stops to instead say goodbye and shatter the mirror.

GIRL, WTF WERE YOU GONNA SAY 'I LOVE YOU?' YOU CAN'T LEAVE A GIRL LIKE THAT, MY POOR HEART. I know it could be anything she was going to say, but let me have this. It was so cute but so devastating. I need time to fully recover before I start Skyward Sword. I get that Link(le) is paired with Zelda in most reincarnations, but my god, in TP, Midna is my girl. Which is honestly a travesty cause this design of Zelda is probably my fav.

There is not enough art or fanfic of fem-Link/Linkle x Midna, and that is a crime.

I love clocky trans women as much as the next gal but even the clockiest trans women don't look like men in dresses day to day. Even if they're not on HRT, to be frank, but doubly so if they are. And if you think that a "clocky trans woman not adhering to traditional cis beauty standards" looks suspiciously exactly like a Buffalo Bill esque caricature but it's good this time you swear, you're just kind of telling on yourself that you don't know very many trans women in real life and are getting your entire perception of trans women from media. This is the extremely petty version of it, but the actual terrifying part of it is that it seems like advocating for "breaking the toxic standards of medicalization" has often eclipsed securing a right to healthcare in a lot of advocacy and political discussion online.

In person it's MUCH different, although I will say that people still have NASTY attitudes about surgeries.

There's a prevailing attitude that the worst sin the trans community has committed is some kind of appearance standard, and some people seem to think that breaking this is the point of trans advocacy. All the while abandoning a lot else.

Meanwhile cis society is SCREAMING in your ear that you look exactly like your AGAB, and should always broadcast your AGAB through intentional fashion and medical choices.

The "toxic standard of passing" doesn't fucking exist. Society hates "passing" trans women as much, if not more, than ones they can clock. Part of transphobia is convincing you that transition doesn't work. It's convincing you that the few features you call "clocky" make you look like a man when they actually make you look like a kinda-tall woman with some sharp features that have a unique elegance, that to a trained eye *might* make someone suspect that you're trans.

There are more media depictions of trans women that are cis men wearing shitty fitting women's clothes than there are media depictions of trans women that look like women living their lives.

If you want to break a standard, depicting a passing trans woman who is confident, open, and unashamed about being trans is more subversive than your tepid, timid, submissive literally-just-a-man depiction of a trans woman ever will be.

Again. What I want to see more of is trans women who "pass", but their transness isn't a dirty little secret. They have a choice of whether to let people know, and they actively choose to be open and broadcast their transness.

I dont understand why some games will give you a character creator but then either have terrible sliders or god awful face presets. I get that they want the faces to be 'realistic' but why are they all terrible, give me at least some pretty options. If im playing an rpg i want to be pretty, is that a crime? I dont care how gritty the game is, if the only face you give me is doom guy with eyelashes im going to be a little sad, let me run around a battlefield with a cute face. I dont want the current options gone but i like making a nice looking character.

Rockstar games are probably the most relevant example due to how popular gta online is; you can make your character look.. okay... but never good. When Red Dead online came out, i thought it was going to be better, but nope, still just... okay. so many times i have started playing a single player rpg and have immediately gone looking for mods that make the character look not like a potato. Now im not asking for the faces to look like those god awful yassified edits of Ayloy from Horizon, god no. I just want the option to make my character cute.

Bg3 is a good example in my mind, theres a large variety of different faces depending on race; you can be butch, you can be a cutie patootie, you can be a twink or a hunk, you could be a grizzled warrior with a heart of gold or a gorgeous beauty with a lust for violence. Theres plenty of options, i wish there were more body type options, but you can't have everything. If a games character creator makes me want to replay it solely to make a new character, it's doing something right.
