sometimes i have strong opinions but they're also so inane that halfway through writing a post i'll be like "yeah, this is Absolutely not worth the energy it's taking" and delete everything. but then the opinion is still in my head. and i still want to share it. so within five minutes i go "you know, i bet i can phrase it more succinctly this time" and anyway. you all see where this is going. sometimes i do this four times in a row before i give up on the specific inane opinion and instead write a vague post about the concept of opinions as if that'll satisfy the urge to post the entirety of my inner monologue online. may or may not be relevant to what you're reading right now. and now all our lives have been enriched. you're welcome

but i accidentally restumbled on some hallie from the society fan fictions this last week and so i dived back into that hole and so i started reading some of your writings

and i have to say you write them so beautifully and perfectly. the way you capture each of them and their dynamic, but also changing them in each universe you create.

honestly not only that but your writing in general is amazing and im was so engaged, your plots are also all so so intriguing

well i wanted to say that after being so upset they cancelled the society (which had so much potential and am still pissed at netflix) and considering there wasn’t a lot of fan media, which at the time made me so sad, your stories really brought my obsession back to life lol

so yeah thank you for your fan fictions and your wonderful writing

also if you ever want to finish one of the ones you left unfinished or write about them again please know i will be reading every word

i can't even tell you how flattering it was to receive this message...i loved writing my hallie fics so much and i actually reread them all the time (even though i think the writing is in somewhat rough shape since i wrote and posted those in a whirlwind without much editing during the pandemic)

i actually DO have about 20k additional written of the circle game - chapter 3 is written, i was halfway through chapter 4 before i totally lost steam/inspiration, so the total wc is somewhere closer to 48k. the story is still sadly unfinished tho and i don't think i'll come back to it, but if you message me off anon i'll send the rest of it to you!! 💕

Hello! I've recently re-read moonlighters and was just wondering... do you think you'll ever return to this story? The ending asks for a sequel, lol. But seriously, it's a great fic and I'm not really sure if you're still even in the OP fandom that much but I thought I'd ask anyway, thank you!

wow! first of all, thank you so much! second of all, funny you sent this because i just recently talked about this on twitter after i realized it was the 2 year posting anniversary of moonlighters haha

you are correct that it asks for a sequel bc i did have one in mind 😭

sadly i don't think i will ever write it at this point...i mean, i still love one piece as media and i keep up with it lightly, but you're correct that i'm not in the fandom much these days. who knows tho, i might return, my interests tend to be cyclical

i will elaborate a bit more under the cut, but i didn't have all the details fleshed out so a lot of this is just based on pure recall (sorry!) also spoilers i guess?

i thought it was a really good parallel that my fic opened with kuma pov, then in canon bonney goes to vegapunk to restore kuma's humanity, so i was like well what if sanji's germa genes go on the fritz and he starts acting like a preprogrammed machine around the same time and they have to go to vegapunk to fix both kuma and sanji?

and the idea was that the drug or medicine or whatever that sora took to prevent 1234ji from being born emotionless (the one that eventually kills her) was concocted and given to her by vegapunk, and that she had connects within the RA

also judge being dead throws the canon wci storyline out of wack, so i was going to make someone in wano discover zoro's heritage and orchestrate a sham wedding between him and hiyori as a way for kaido to get rid of orochi, who he decided was too annoying to keep around or something. i think it was going to be that big mom kidnaps sanji (when he and reiju are trying to save 124ji) and blackmails zoro into the marriage...okay it sounds messy but i was going to figure out a way to make it all politically make sense #trust. some time during the 124ji rescue something happens to trigger sanji's emotionless stealth black mode, which would take us into the vegapunk story...etc

thematically the idea was that after all zoro and sanji go through to realize their love and finally be together...they are ripped apart </3 and must find their way back to each other </3 except when they finally do reunite, sanji is no longer "himself" </3

it would have had a happy ending for sure tho
