An important announcement.

Barabox will shut down for an extended period of time. During this time the website will be inaccessible for everyone.

During the past few months we at Barabox have been working on a complete makeover of the website. However it has become a bit complicated trying to work on two big projects at once, one being the current maintenance of the website (a lot of stuff that goes behind the scenes!) and creating a new platform from scratch.

Since our activity has been on decline for the past months or so, we've decided that it would be best for us to temporarily close the website, that way we can save up resources, energy and working time, so we can focus on developing the new version of the platform quicker.

User data will not be deleted, and you will have enough time to make backups of your accounts if you wish. We’re expecting this data to move onto a new version of the website though, so rest assure nothing will be lost forever.

BaraBox will close April 3, 2019. After that, the website won't be accessible anymore, instead displaying a message telling users where they can find us instead.

While the website is closed, we will try our best to provide constant updates on the development of the new platform in our Twitter, Tumblr and Discord server, to give you all an idea of what's coming.

BaraBox Update

Hey Everyone,

As many have noticed things have been a bit quiet, working in Technology this is quite a busy time for me so it’s been rather hard keeping up with things especially side projects since BaraBox is not my full time job since we provide the platform for free. Though, some good news we are continuing to work on the newest version and are looking at a release in the next three months at it’s earlier to provide a better BaraBox experience.

Some other good news though, we will slowly begin to leak screenshots and what not of the new platform as well as a few big surprises. So stay tuned!

As we continue to grow as a community, BaraBox constantly wants to show support towards the artists that are the central pillar of this genre and grace us with amazing content in many different forms.

This 2018 BaraBox wants to lend a hand to artists that work hard and craft amazing projects that are interesting to the community and fun to engage with. We will be sponsoring different projects from now onward, giving creators a spotlight to showcase their projects, keep us updated and directly engage with the community as well!

Our involvement in any of the sponsored projects may be varied, from simple promotion, to lending a helping hand during development processes, to even more direct involvement leading to collaborations. Things can be as simple as having a dedicated channel to your particular project in our Discord server, be sure to check it out! We also will make promotion here and over at our twitter account.

I'm a creator, how do I get sponsored?

The BaraBox staff acts as a committee that regularly has conversations regarding the current state of the scene. We constantly scoop the internet in search of promising projects! However, if you're a creator and would like to have a chance to be sponsored by us, you're always free to pitch in your project (in any stage it might be) to this very same blog via the chat feature. If you're a common user and you'd like to share with us something you deem worthy, feel free to reach out as well!

Are this sponsorships permanent?

The time we decide to have a spotlight depends on the type of project and how well it fares within' the community. More often than not, at least a month is assured given the creator regularly keeps contact with the people who decide to engage with the project of course. It's a two-way street and don’t want to sponsor dead projects! If we're more heavily involved in the development stages of a project, we'll probably hold an extended period of promotion for said project.

I need money to kickstart my project.

Anything could happen, if you're in a green state and have a promising idea, feel free to reach out to us, maybe some crazy things can happen! However please keep in mind these cases are rare and we could only lend financial support to serious content creators and projects that are properly planned.

“Fire Emblem X BaraBox” winners announced!

Our Fire Emblem x BaraBox contest entry period ended on October 20th, and now the entries have been reviewed by our staff team and the 3 winners of our contest have been finally decided!

First place goes to Anthrax with "Early Morning Preparations". His submission got him a Nintendo Switch gaming system, plus a digital download code for Fire Emblem Warriors!

Second place goes for KuroSilver with "Another Day"

And in third we have Scruffley with "Levi, Thunder Mage".
