Idk why people are confused by this. Betty and Archie made out on top of archie’s bed but hiram placed a bomb under it. The bomb exploded but instead of dying, the timeline stopped and we were transported in a parallel universe where everyone is mad, the devil exists and lallorona steals babies for real. So to get out of that universe, jughead concocted a plan to recreate the chain of events that led them to riverVALE and it worked. Fake jughead warned betty and archie and they made it out alive; Oh and everyone gained superpowers when they went back to the first reality but that’s irrelevant. Ergo facto, blow up a bomb while barchie make out and it’ll solve all of your problems!!!

That one person in the replies saying Veronica is being whitewashed because of Barchie? No common sense

I did a double take for sure.

Stans love to weaponize real issues to their advantage, even when it makes no sense. The most common misuse is when ships they hate become ‘toxic’ and characters they hate become ‘abusive’ when their biggest fault as protagonists was getting between their ships. There’s also the case where stans read the same heavyweight word/expression from an account and it starts to look applicable everytime their favourite character/ship is wronged. I know exactly which account that person got it from.

i hate HATE that riverdale is riverdale where you can’t dismiss anything because i need to understand why people would think the show would ever revert back to 5x17 for any reason other than ‘we want va/bh back and barchie gone’

and the other nonsensical theories, too. like everything being written by jughead just because archie said 8 words that jughead said 3 seasons ago.

or reggie and tabitha getting together because ???

if bh va ever get back together it’ll be because of one reason and one reason only: fan-service. with how the season has been going, there is no logical reason or set up of bh and va reuniting. so i do not understand why bhva fans have to come up with these crazy theories to prove something that isn’t there.
