It's just come to my attention that we did not post updates for chapters 5 and 6. That's my bad. They were delayed... That was @elizacinnamon's bad (she's asleep when I'm writing this so I can say whatever I want lol). HOWEVER. We are BACK!

Where are we? Well, the mystery is starting to heat up. Where we last left off, mysterious VHS tapes were left on people's doorsteps. What videos do they contain? Who is the cute FBI agent? Is someone a rebound?

We're starting to wrap up some of the fringe plot lines, like the Lodge's being incarcerated, and move into original territory. There will still be a lot of elements of the original Season 4 in our story but this is our version.

Veronica sat with her feet curled under her, the ratty old quilt draped over her legs, and the opening credits of a black and white monster movie playing. "Come on! You're missing it!" She cried out like she did when she was a little girl afraid of missing something important that only her imagination conjured.Jughead laughed as he rounded the couch, the giant bowl of popcorn loaded with butter and spices of his own making. "It's not like we can't rewind it, Lodge."She promptly took the bowl from him, planting it firmly in her lap, immediately munching several kernels. "Shh!" She scolded. She never saw the way he looked at her, but she felt his eyes raking over her. She told herself it was a look of concern. Concern over her situation with her parents. Maybe she was there because she had nowhere else to go. Something to be pitied.It wasn't pity that led to her learning the rhythm of his heartbeat that night. His tiny snores drowned out by the thudding in his chest. Their legs intertwined as he held her with one arm around her shoulders. She drifted to sleep with the moonlight streaming through the windows and the ratty quilt over her thinking about how in this unassuming living room her unexpected ally never stopped protecting her. Just like he promised.
