Alright, first of all, I blame Raoden for sucking me into the madness that is Pokemon Go, second of all it’s a shame you can’t put long hair on the male avatar, but the main point I’m making here is that there is a Gastly are unnervingly common around my apartment complex and I’m starting to wonder if it’s haunted.

anyway jokes by straight / cis people that rely on expectations of violence towards gay / trans people are Bad Content.

I can’t believe you thought I was actually homophobic/transphobic!” & it’s just like ??? the entire substance of the joke relies on the person telling the joke to have the power to act violently against the audience.

The joke also relies on implying that lgbt people are irrational and out of line to expect violence. It’s the exact same kind of joke as, “overly sensitive marginalized person misunderstands totally innocent person and yells at them for saying something oppressive when they did nothing wrong” and all they do is imply oppression is over and oppressed people are cry babies
