No no, historians will love that last part, because they’ll already have plenty of documents about major Disc events, but this will provide amazing detail about daily life. You’ll get a bunch of books and articles like “Dwarven excavation culture in Fin de Fruitbat” and “Musing on Museums: Historical Collections in the Carrot Papers.” Someone will write a book about all the streets Carrot mentions walking along with Angua, and that will guarantee her tenure. Historians love tiny details so much.

This is legit the exact way in which I read them. I received Small Gods and Men At Arms from a friend, then raided the library (I think that was Lords And Ladies, maybe Guards Guards, and Pyramids), then bought a couple more I don't even recall now, got a friend to send me I believe Equal Rites because I couldn't find it, and then went and started reading the ones I'd missed in chronological order once I managed to pirate a complete collection of the ebooks (which were actually a mixture of PDF scans and OCR).
