if you’re a hockey fan who is feeling pretty mad about this whole nhl is clearly racist and doesn’t care business and you wanna make a difference, what can be done?? 1) boost voices on social media demanding change. there’s obv the hda but also pleeenty of hockey journalists (of colour) and obv hockey fans of colour constantly talking about this. retweet them, boost them, block racist people giving them abuse. retweet people questioning the team social media accounts or official nhl account. 2) contact the nhl/teams and tell them to do better (plenty of people have been posting their messages on twitter if you don’t know what to write). 3) actively support players of colour all the time, not just when they say something about racism. make gifsets of your favourite players of colour, reblog them, support them on their social media etc.

It’s so important to redirect our collective anger to constructive action/support and to stay informed. It’s not enough to just be angry.
