Remember when having black people in a movie or tv show wasn't a political statement?
Look at Red Dwarf. Mixed race main character, a white guy, a black guy who's not even human, and a white guy who's not even human. Imagine the shitstorm on both sides if that came out today. We wouldn't be happy because it'd be political now, and the SJWs would shit themselves at a non-human black character.Â
But back then that was fine because they weren't pushing any agenda or bashing you over the head with regressive lies.
Same with Predator, that had two black dudes, a Native American and a Hispanic woman.
I grew up in the 90s and I swear things were much better then simply because there wasn't so much focus on race in the media. There were plenty of black people in the media then as well, but whether there was or wasn't it didn't seem to matter.
The top is a well written female character with depth and likability who isnât blatant feminist/sjw bait.
The bottom is the exact opposite.

Idris playing Roland is so stupid on so many levels.
Roland Deschain was written as a white guy, played up as a White guy in the storyline and deliberately interacted with black characters as a white guy. Then thereâs the whole conflict with Detta about him being white.
His ethnicity is too much a part of the storyline to just go changing them into some other ethnicity.
Just what SW needs. Even more SJW pandering, and especially for something so fucking unnecessary and irrelevant to the entirety thatâs supposed to be the mythological heroic story of Star Wars.
What the fuck is wrong with JJ and Disney?, romance in the first place wasnât important for Star Wars and now theyâre pushing this stupid agenda instead trying to make the story good. Even Rian retweeted a gay fan drawing of the two male MCs who are so bland and boring i canât even remember their names.
