attraction being gendered for a lot of people is kinda fascinating bc i'm exclusively attracted to men, meanwhile there are definitely a lot of men that i'm not whatsoever attracted to physically. but at the same time, it's extremely possible for many of those men to become attractive to me via an emotional connection. and then whatever physical traits they have will begin to just be generally attractive to me, and i'll start finding them beautiful in other men too. and this has only ever happened with men and never women, which means that even when men aren't particularly attractive to me, they still hold more tangible potential than literally any woman no matter how objectively beautiful she might be. like how does that work
