i need a hard reset again man why is everything so fucking lame i just opened wise and they changed my name to my deadname for no fucking reason whatsoever but i assume they have some weird system that after i opened a business account maybe takes from either my bank or the registry and those are so half updated too like i was signing up for a shipment broker today and when entering my business number it first showed my deadname too and when i was at the bank yesterday they claim they changed my name on all accounts now but internally it still shows my deadname for stuff as well as in my app in some parts this is genuinely pissing me off i havent made any money this year and i Still cant fucking accept payments cause now nobody wants to update my legal name properly fuck this

ok i gotta say paypal fuucking suuucks im not gonna share the screnshot of the cs chat cause i feel bad but imagine the last message being like "sorry i cant help you try to just wait" but having a typo in every single word. im still waiting b4 logging back in until next week. wise is better at least i did contact them more than once and they just have a weird system but Much more helpful than paypal and they were really speedy with changing my info everytime i contacted them this week even what felt like after hours so thats good. i still gotta add my bank there but i couldnt cause the other info was mismatched. paypal im basically waiting to try again to add my bank but ill first go to my bank and hopefully not forget to mention that i want a card reissued among other things but i still need a savings acct updated..... so many things going so slowly

Hannah Montana is fucked up because its entire POINT as a show is that children should be protected from fame and exploitation, but it stars a REAL little girl that's being exploited. Nearly every episode carries the looming threat of Miley being outed as Hannah and losing her peaceful teenage life to the ravages of fame. Her father in the show (played by her own father in real life) wisely protected her from the trauma of fame by making her wear a disguise and live a rather quiet, interview-free life. Meanwhile the REAL Billy Ray Cyrus sold his daughter to Disney Channel when she was 11 and forced her to read dialogue about how terrible it would be to face the public eye. Like... Jesus, dude. The fictional Robby Ray is 10x the father, and it's not even close. (It's also IMMENSELY funny that her dad doesn't use his real name in the show, while she does. Almost like he wanted a bit of a disconnect between his identity and his character. Something Miley didn't get.)

i know things are hella grim in the nsfw/kink art circles especially in the last year --

but I'm hearing there's a NSFW-friendly ko-fi alternative built on atproto that's actively in the works, and being vetted by lawyers right now. as torrent-princess (OP) says, you should be able to swap out payment processors while keeping your account intact. this matters since even if stripe removes support, you'll still have a shop and all of your links intact. (ATproto is an infrastructure that bsky is built on, but is far bigger than bsky with far more opportunities.)

additionally, the Free Speech Coalition is working on a credit union specifically for adult work (including kink art) - here's the link so you can add your interest & support. Since this will be built by sex workers, there'll be far less risk of being debanked for spurious and puritanical reasons.

on a domain TLD level, there's an initiative here for a .furry domain built from the ground up by seasoned furries; it's unclear whether they'll support NSFW, but it's yet another promising turn of events for a group that's been similarly affected by censorship.

there are friends and allies out there helping to build a working parallel infrastructure. keep being vocal, keep supporting these initiatives when it's possible, and keep supporting your nsfw/kink artists. ♥
