i saw a couple of old works on ao3/posts on tumblr where Dew is called Ember and... i can't stop thinking about what a waste it is that this nickname didn't stick for him :") i do like the name Dewdrop but... imagine how tragic it would be if «Dewdrop» became his deadname, associated only with his water past. it could be a source of trauma for him, a reminder of what he has lost. or, in a good way, the new name could be a symbol that he has finally become his true and «cooler» self :) after all, i really think «Ember» would suit him...
