Okey sooo, hi everyone!

I'm Maca, just a girl with too much hobbies for not that much free time BUT I love getting lost around some pages full of ink.

And maybe you're asking yourself: what the hell is this girl trying to do here? The answer is: I don't even know. I'm a mess, so this will be that: a shake of all those things that make me live "one day more"🎶

Aw man, this is kinda sad. So for months I've listened to a LOT of Christian podcasts, but I've had to stop listening to every single one of them because I disagreed with what they were teaching and how there were teaching it, I'm sorry.

BUT DO NOT FEAR because two of these have still held up. Because they're done by actual pastors with actual theological education from good seminaries and not some random guy with a microphone who's been saved for four years and has 'the spiritual gift of teaching'. Which like... is a spiritual gift, I'm not trying to knock that, I'm just saying that maybe before you try influence millions with your incorrect conclusions about hyper spiritual warfare and you get super fired up about demonic influence and doing some crazy stuff about it you should take some classes.

Anyway. Random rant. Here you go!

Timothy Keller's Sermons (One of the most solid theologians of our time, his preaching is incredible and I love listening to this so much)

Ask Pastor John (Piper) (Note: John Piper does have some weird takes on stuff. But only on 'Christian issues' that aren't directly talked about in the Bible. I treat him like Martin Luther- when talking directly about the Gospel they are two of the best. Both of their commentaries on Romans? Unparalleled. But when talking about an issue way in left field? Take a few grains of salt. Or an entire shaker. All of that aside, most of what he talks about here is really solid, but if you find yourself going 'huh?' don't be afraid to dig around and try and figure out why)

I wish I had more that I could feel confident enough in their theology and teaching to recommend! If you'd like, I could point you to a few other people that might have a better answer to this than I do.

Or, honestly, I do have a list of specific episodes that I think are fire, but I don't like their podcast as a whole, if that makes sense. So if you want that list, I'm happy to share that too!

Cool!! Thanks. I'm not a begginer so I kind of have an quite advance education, as long as critical analysis and priest to ask for the contrast. So don't worry about that.

I'll appreciate de list of episodes! As I'm more interested on that more than following someone (although I'll look up for those two). It's more to practice the English and everything in something that really matters for me, so it won't not even for near my basic education (also I'm a Catholic so I guess some things are gonna be naturally different 100%) About the people, if they are comfortable with you pointing me them, go ahead!

I'm wonna say the thing that right now is keeping me happy: photography.

Specially since 2020 I've been wanting to learn to take photos with a camera and having one. But I've never thought that dream would be real.

But Last week I could join the photography club at my collage and my uncle lent me his camera. I'm SO HAPPY to finally being able to learn.

I suck at art stuff, but here I am, no one can stop me now

Here some photos I took last Saturday on a walk I did with the club (I was lucky, there's no other explanation)

A thing I love about the Narnia movies is that Edmund's torch ends up being treated like one of the great treasures. The other three get magical gifts from Father Christmas, but Edmund doesn't because he was with the White Witch when the presents got handed out, but he had a torch with him when they got zapped into Narnia in Prince Caspian. In that film, the torch gets used in one of the battles.

Then in Voyage of the Dawn Treader, when Edmund and Lucy arrive on the ship, Caspian is there going, "And here is King Peter's sword, and Queen Susan's bow, and Queen Lucy, here is your magical healing cordial, and King Edmund, here is your torch."

It's kept in a place of honour like the other treasures but think about it from Caspian's point of view. They don't have electricity in Narnia, so as far as he's concerned, Edmund has a magical light. Given that all the others have magical treasures that helped them be heroes, why wouldn't he assume the torch is one of those great treasures?

Honestly, I'm just surprised the flashlight still had battery power. Maybe the Narnians didn't touch it out of respect?

The fact that YESTERDAY I watched the second and all the jokes and questions were about the torch (the batteries, the why anyone was surprised to see electricity in Narnia) and now I'm reading this here and it's just epic. (As epic as the torch randomly being in Edmond's bag at the begging)

It's only two right now, but it feels like a lot because I have two other books to read first.

The library ones are The Woman They Could Not Silence and the other is a biography on J.R.R. Tolkien. I also have the last season of Downton Abbey checked out so I have to make time to watch that. I want to finish The Two Towers and Return of the King before I read the non fiction library books.
