I don't usually do this but this time it's kind of more dire.

I live in a fully electrical studio apartment, because it is what was affordable. However this means my heating has to be also electrical, and electric heating uses a lot of energy, and today my electric bill arrived and it's more than two times what I paid in other months.

The southern lapwing (Vanellus chilensis), or Tero as it's commonly known in some parts of South America, is a bird known for faking a location for its nest and defending it fiercely to distract predators from the actual location of the nest. It's known as a centinel in many rural zones of Argentina and Chile due to their screams alerting the owners of people at the entrance, since they nest on grassland.

The markhor (Capra falconeri) is one of the species with one of the biggest, most impressive, strongest horns in the world. Its horns are highly appreciated by hunters and for their use in chinese medicine, which of course makes it a highly hunted species. This put the species in grave endaregement for a while, though currently is listed in the IUCN Red List as Near threatened.
