Brows furrowing in confusion and a faint bit of concern, Kai glanced up at the girl and did a double-take. For a moment or two he had assumed the voice belonged to a prankster, but her eyes… the woman was MAD as a hatter. It was plain as day. His lips quirked up into a smile, and he drew out the chair beside him with a nod. “As red as yours with familial blood- I doubt our histories are as equivalent as you think. As far as ECLIPSES are concerned….” a wry grin stretched across his face, “ever think that maybe it was m a g i c?”
“ and yet, the reflection you see is almost as fractured as the one I see. ” she countered, her eyes mostly focused on the stranger, but flickering from here to there, taking in everything around her. “ whether you used a mallet or a hammer matters not, if the only outcomes you seek are broken glass and bad luck. ” her curiosity was piqued at the sound of magic ------ of course magic was real, no question about it. but she loved to hear about it, nonetheless. “ did a magician reach into his hat and pull out a torment like no other instead of a rabbit? ” a sly smile crept across her features, her eyes as glossed over as they always were.
