REPOST: Yesterday we celebrated MJ's adoption as we thought she found her forever home after being at the shelter for 10 months.  Little did we know, in less than 24 hours MJ's life would take a turn for the worse, and that we'd be fighting to save her life. MJ was viciously attacked by the other dog in her new home.  We saw her as she was being returned to the shelter, her head and neck was covered in dried blood, she had puncture wounds covering her ears, face and neck, and she was unable to put weight on her front left leg.  Her body trembled and we saw the terror and sadness in her eyes.  Our hearts broke in pieces... This should have never happened. MJ already has two strikes against her, first she's a pit mix, second, she's a senior dog.  And now, she's badly injured due to a dog attack.  Life has played a cruel twist to sweet MJ.  This was supposed to be her break.  She is supposed to celebrate the holidays with her new family; having a stocking with her name on it, and getting her first Christmas present in god knows how long.  No, instead, she's suffering in pain and fear, and she's back at the shelter, in danger of being euthanized due to her injury. We really need your help to get MJ out of the shelter and into a home.  Our wonderful friends @takemehomerescue have generously offered to help with MJ's medical expense.  All we need now is for her to have a warm loving place to go after her vet appointment.  It's no small feat to find a place for her just two days before Christmas, but we believe that it is possible- with your help!  Please everyone, repost our plea for MJ.  There has to be someone out there who is able to give MJ a place to stay and recover.  We are asking you to please repost and help MJ feel the Christmas spirit that has been stolen from her.
