thinking about an au where all the yellowjackets died in the wilderness but are found years later. also thinking about the second reality theory so they don't even know they're dead. so, when you, some random streamer, fly out to the famous crash site to vlog and see if the rumors of their spirit still being there are true, the yellowjackets are pleasantly surprised to see another human after being alone for so long.
the first stop is the plane itself. it's creepy but so fascinating. there's still decades old blood splatter on the sides of the plane from when they crashed. it feels weird in there. like they're there with you, watching you.
the next stop is the cabin, which is harder to find. it's still ruined and burnt, and everything's still there. some textbook pages, burnt almost to a crisp, scraps of clothing, and bones. maybe they died in the fire, and the rest was just them in the second reality.
thinking about camping out near the cabin and hearing strange sounds at night. a sort of unsettling whooping and hollering and eerie vocalizations. you can see shadows of people outside your tent, but when you unzip it to look, no ones there. even despite there still being an outline of a tall girl with antlers outside.
thinking about them making you go crazy just as they did, and when your sense of reality finally cracks, you begin to actually see them instead of feeling and hearing them all around.
it starts off with a very frozen jackie taylor resting on her arm and facing you when you wake up one morning. you nearly shit your pants, and she just laughs at you. you watch in horror as she sits up and stands, walking over to you like she's real and not just a hallucination after being out here for a month.
THINKING about jackie being your protector from the others 😁 jackie never approved of the cannibalism and hunting, so she'll always bark at shauna when she tries to get you to end it so they can have some food.
