I had so much fun this weekend!!! The beautiful Sophie i was with was someone I met up with for the first time while in line to get in if you can believe it, but I think we paired really well!! If you ever see this Ami, thank you for adopting me!! I loved spending the convention with you!!!

people on tumblr will have a whole blog dedicated to a european book that has a popular non-western adaptation and then spend all day shading the movie and portraying the characters with the only the whitest most western features ever

like babes just because it’s fantasy doesn’t mean everyone is white can we please let go of that….especially when dying your hair is even canonically a normal thing the characters don’t even have to be white to fit the book descriptions

i’ve seen the wrong ones then omg, sometimes when you’re not really in a fandom you can get the wrong impression of it by what you have seen and unfortunately this has been partly my impression so far :( but i would be happy to be convinced otherwise! (also yes i have read the book, that’s what made the whitewashing even weirder for me)
