you slowly turned the door knob, entering your shared apartment. the lights were off, signalling that nobody was home, which made you feel infinitely worse. you had just had a dinner with your parents, which ended in a huge argument, as it always did. this time around they were criticising your career choice, throwing insults such as youāre useless, youāll never amount to anything, and your personal favourite: youāll always be a disappointment. needless to say, it made you feel like utter shit. and now all you wanted was to cuddle with your boyfriend, but he wasnāt even there.
you kicked off your shoes in frustration and slammed your bag down onto the counter. hot tears started filling your eyes. you were just so exhausted today, and nothing seemed to be working in your favour. to make it worse, your parentsā words were floating around in your head, not leaving you alone. it wasnāt until you reached your room that you finally allowed yourself to cry.
you started sobbing violently, head down into the pillow of your bed, nails digging into the sheets. you had been crying so hard that you hadnāt heard your concerned boyfriend unlock the door. nor had you heard him walk inside, put his bag down, and immediately rush to your side. it wasnāt until you felt a warm hand on your back that you finally looked up.
yeonjun was meant to still be in practice, but after messaging you three times with no reply, he felt like something was wrong. so he immediately rushed home, and boy was he glad he did. seeing you there, sobbing into your pillow, absolutely broke him. he couldnāt even begin to process the amount of emotion he was feeling at once. he wanted to both comfort you and also burn the entire city down to find out who hurt you. he decided that the first was the best option.
so without a word, he pulled you up from your position and scooped you into his arms onto the bed. he repositioned so that your head was on his chest, one of his hands drawing small circles on your waist and the other running through your hair. he allowed you to keep crying, and gave you small kisses on the head for encouragement.
once your sobs had calmed, yeonjun gave a small kiss to your forehead and softly muttered āwhatās wrong, baby?ā. you looked up at him, tears threatening to spill again. he cups your face with his hand, using his thumb to rub small circles onto your cheek.

the more he hears about how you were treated, the more he wants to absolutely shower you in his love. he wants to show you that youāre perfect, youāre amazing, youāre his biggest inspiration.

heās so caught up in his thoughts that he doesnāt hear you coming into the room until youāre standing right in front of him. he looks just looks up at you like āi thought you left me š„ŗā and your heart literally breaks. so you immediately wrap him up in your arms, call him an idiot, and then proceed to kiss away his worries. after that he makes you pinky swear that youāll never leave before he wakes up ever again.

he makes eye contact with you, and immediately mouths an āare you okay?ā when the cameras arenāt on him. he does this for the remainder of the shoot. āyouāre doing so well babyā ābreathe, my darlingā āitāll be over soon, beautifulā āi love youā if he canāt touch you, heāll have to comfort you in other ways. however, as soon as the filming is over, yeonjun is by your side in an instant.

he doesnāt know what to do, especially because your relationship is completely secret. he also has an image to uphold, especially because heās the leader. so he continues on with the variety show, stealing glances at you every so often. when he makes eye contact with you, he can see you silently pleading to comfort him, but he knows that he canāt. he spends the rest of the shoot sitting in guilt and worry, praying to whoeverās up there to finish the shoot right that second.
as soon as the shoot is finished, youāre all escorted to your dressing rooms. soobin however has other plans, and immediately grabs you and pulls you over somewhere private. just like yeonjun, he wastes no time in getting you in his arms, wrapping them tightly around you and burying his face in your hair. he does this partly out of comfort but also partly out of guilt, since he feels extremely bad for leaving you there on your own. he feels you shake and hyperventilate, and he canāt help but tear up. he hates seeing you like this, absolutely despises it. so he vows that when you get home, heās going to take care of you in the way he wishes he could during the filming <3

ā¦he may be the king of variety shows, but that doesnāt stop him from being absolutely aware of your every move. he knows that you find these things anxiety inducing, so when he found out that you were both going to be on the same show, he knew exactly what to do. every five seconds he was glancing over at you. and he couldnāt help it, not only did he want to take care of you, but you were also so so so stunning. his eyes just seemed to automatically wander towards you, it was habit at this point. so when he glanced over and saw you looking back with a panicked expression on your face, the alarms in his head instantly went off.
he knew what experiencing panic was like, and he also knew that it would gradually get worse. however, he also knew how strict filming was, and so it was unlikely youād be able to get a break. so he made sure to show off his entertainment skills so that the cameras wouldnāt be focused on you while you were trying to calm down. he started cracking jokes, running around, and generally interacting with the hosts much more. every time the camera wasnāt on him heād instantly be looking at you, sending you small finger hearts and reassuring smiles. in all honesty, being the absolute centre of attention was quite stressful, but he was more than happy to do it for you. anything for you. heād eat his own heart if you asked him to.
after the shoot, he was by your side in an instant. his hands went to cup your face, and he turned you upwards to look at him. āyou alright baby?ā heād ask as he gently started to caress your face. āyouāre okay now, so proud of you.ā heād say before planting soft kisses all over your face. heād take your hands if they were still shaking and pull you into a warm hug. would plant even more kisses on the top of your head while squeezing your waist for reassurance. once it was time to leave, heād send you texts throughout the day to check up on you, while also reminding you that youāre the strongest baddest bitch he knows <3

he wastes no time in announcing that he needs a toilet break. thankfully, the producers agree to let everyone off on a short break. while everyone is going off to rest, you try and look for him for comfort, but heās nowhere to be found. your anxiety starts to peak again, until tae arrives next to you with a water bottle and snacks. heās not so good with comforting through words or physical touch, so heās hoping he can comfort you through acts of service instead. he sits you down and encourages you to tell him whatās wrong, which you do.
he has his hand on your inner thigh the entire time, rubbing soothing circles. he listens eagerly, moves hair out of your face, and tries to help you calm down. he helps you do breathing exercises, drink water, and forces you to eat something small. food fixes everything, after all. once youāre much more calm, he gives you a peck on the lips for some final comfort before youāre forced to go back on set. for the rest of the shoot heās constantly looking at you, making eye contact and giving you small smiles of encouragement <3

after the shoot, kai instantly checks up on you. he squeezes your cheeks, telling you how cute you were and how well you did in the filming. he pulls you close to his chest in a back hug, his arms sneaking around your waist, nuzzling his nose into your neck. he probably starts to softly hum, allowing you to take any time you need to recover. heās honestly so inspired by you, and thinks youāre insanely cool and brave for being able to get through that situation. it just gives him another reason to fall in love with you <3
gonna be honest: itās so weird that some of yāall actually like,,, enjoy my writing. like obviously fanfiction is only a small portion of what my writing actually is but likeā¦. i just canāt believe that some of you really sit there, read my writing and go āyeah this isnāt too shabbyā. i just canāt get my head around it. like yāall actually like the words i string together? the scenarios made up in my little brain? canāt believe it.
