.....Well, in his defence, he HAD been trying for something more..... subtle. In retrospect, there were plenty of better ways to tell someone that they were having an incredibly good hair-and-face-day, but Sour Cream had taken one glance at Jenny and something had short-circuted somewhere between his brain and his mouth; an unfortunate side-effect of having such incredibly attractive friends.

"Yeah, well," An attempt at nonchalance was made, hands jamming into the front pocket of his hoodie and shoulders shrugging even as his flustered flush spread across his face to the tips of his damn ears. "Y'know. No point in just thinking it."

“Well, okay.” The teen shrugged, tossing the car keys from his left hand to his right in a thoughtless manner. If Lars was really serious about skipping his own paid work to help Sour Cream deliver pizzas in Jenny’s absence then sure, who was he to complain? Driving was always more fun with company anyway. “But we gotta go then. There’s, like, ten pizzas cooling in that backseat right now.”

Sunday June 11th, Day 1: First meetings; we know from Three Gems and a Baby that the cool kids met back when they were young, but how do you imagine their first encounters with each other?

For day 1 of polyamorous cool kids week!! My personal hc is that Jenny and Buck were already friends and that they had to step in at some point to save that one lanky kid in their class from some bullies

“Same ol’ Buck.” Jenny rolled her eyes with a faint grin. It was pretty cool of him to keep taking lessons from Steven’s dad, though, so if he wanted to keep up with it, that’d just be how it was. The mention of Steven teaching ‘Wonderwall’ caused the girl to smirk lightly. Of course. Maybe she could get Buck to play some of HER fave tunes sometime.

“Oh hey! There’s an idea. I’m down for a jam sesh whenever! Means I can dust off my melodica, y’know?” Damn, it’d been a hot minute since she’d played that thing, but she was pretty sure she still had what it took to play some sick tunes. “Just name a time and place, and you can count me in.” As she finished, the door opened up, and Jenny looked up in surprise, before she grinned, noticing Kofi enter the restaurant. She pulled off her apron immediately. “Get ready to get out of here, SC — I aint waiting for him to change his mind.”

The bell atop the pizzeria's door chimed, and Sour Cream dropped his chair back down onto four legs as though he were conditioned to react to the arrival of adults who might not appreciate him playing balancing games on their furniture. Kofi most surely wouldn’t, he knew, so the reaction was both well deserved and timed, in his honest opinion. In any case, the old guy was probably distracted by Jenny’s very sudden flurry of noise and movement, so the action almost certainly went unnoticed.

“Hey Mr. Pizza.” A hand was lifted in a half wave as the teen stood up and dragged the chair back to the place he’d taken it from. Then, he straightened, jammed both his hands into the pockets of his raver pants, and started for the doorway in a very tactical exit. Jenny always got out easier when Kofi was aware she had someone waiting outside, and considering that an ‘ingredient emergency’ had apparently just gone down, he didn’t want her to get caught, lest she be forced to help some more.
