Throwbacks sketches from 2015
Some cats and a 40 min @ Jerry's workshop 9/26
Freestyle graffiti character sketch became a quick piece. Big head cartoon style inspired by my teacher Jerry's illustration work
Photo studies. Oil and scratch board
Life drawing workshop 9/12/15 @ Jerry's
Iâve never finished a sketchbook in 5 days before... hereâs to the first of many things of the rest of my life. All drawings made in one session.
Angels and demons
Sketches from yesterday @ the mall
Some quick cyberpunk character concept sketches
throwback sketches from my dollar store mini notebook
'Death goddess' spring harvest' and 'concentrated unhappiness'
Today's spitpaint topic: porkzilla and heavenly battleground. Mostly ink and chalk pastel.
"The working bee" self portrait, on the job. Was for spit paint group but didn't post since this took like an hour. Ink and pastel. Not satisfied with the fucked up hand.
messing around with dollar store pastel. spitpaint topic is red queen's guard (ended up drawing daredevil look a like) and bird city (went for an angel sanctuary).
Biff Scarborough the blues man on Venice beach. Wandered around since I didn't want to go to class and wanted solitude.
My pieces for the city-life inspired art show at a bar called âThe bunkerâ in SFV (area code 818). First is 'The Lionâ from downtown LA and second is '3rd world rooftopsâ from Saigon. Last one is 'Chessboxinâ from San Francisco.
Learned a lot about my own limits (I have none apparently, if Iâm smart about working) when trying to meet the deadline for the show. Learned about making prints and got to met Andy Suriano (samurai jack) randomly at the print shop!!! Feels like I have so much to learn still, and surprised too cuz people actually liked my stuff.
Canât wait for the next show!
Just some sketches for fun and practice. Gotta get cleaner lines. Ink and watercolor.
