Uncharismatic Fact of the Day
That's no silly straw- those are Solenogastres! There are about 300 species of these mollusks spread across the world's oceans, but they all share a few characteristics: they are all worm-like, with long slender bodies, and instead of true shells they are covered in special scales made of argonite. Because of their simple morphology, scientists believe them to be representative of some of the earliest mollusks to evolve.
