hi. my name is jeremy. i'm a fnaf fan and a stranger things fan, and i've been both for a few years now. i had full intentions to post mostly stranger things and byler-related content on this blog, but thanks to my mental health and my ten-year special interest in fnaf winning out, i don't see myself posting again anytime soon. for now, i'm just here for the art and ideas. perhaps i'll rebrand eventually (i kind of hate this blog now but i did post some bangers!).
here's my carrd if you'd like to know more about me then that little paragraph: https://thejeremyfitzgerald.carrd.co/
i have never stopped thinking about how murray's talk with jonathan and nancy in season two almost definitely is a parallel to byler
the talk starts off with murray asking jonathan and nancy if they were having a lover's quarrel, to which they both immediately respond with, "we're just friends." doesn't that sound familiar? then, there's also the fact that his descriptions of jonathan, nancy, and their problems fit mike and will so well
"you've got chemistry, history, plus, the real shit, shared trauma." = byler
"trust issues, am i right? something to do with your dad." = will
"probably, like everyone, afraid of what would happen if you accepted yourself for who you really are, and retreated back to the safety of...steve [eleven]. ...we like steve [eleven], but we don't love steve [eleven]." = mike
this is only amplified by jonathan being will's older brother, and nancy being mike's older sister. them being siblings means that will and mike grew up underneath some, if not all, of the same circumstances that jonathan and nancy grew up underneath. it isn't a stretch at all to say that growing up under similar conditions can cause some of the same problems in different people, especially when it's implied and shown multiple times throughout the show that will and jonathan face similar problems, with them both being outcasts who aren't seen as normal
additionally, there's an interview(?) where brett points out to charlie and natalia that jonathan and nancy's relationship was their own little lie that murray had to expose because he has to obsessively expose everything that is bullshit. i would consider byler's relationship right now to be a lie, because where we left off in season 4, they're both lying to each other and hiding the truth from each other, which is all bullshit (quite literally, because one of the definitions of bullshit is 'talk nonsense, typically to be misleading or deceptive')
there are just so many other byler and jancy parallels that i don't see how murray's talk with jancy isn't connected to byler in some way
i hate when americans get asked about the israeli/palestinian conflict and they say “well it’s not really my place to have an opinion” our country literally funds genocide against the palestinian people in the name of “defense” it absolutely is our business, we should be as mad as we can as loudly as possible.
i'm sorry but how do milevens believe in the localvillagegate video 😭😭😭 there's no way that a conversation so disorganized would be the conversation that they're having. and for all of them saying that mike's using dnd terms, even if he was, 1. the conversation would still be unnatural, and 2. eleven would not understand what he's talking about at all
You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.
By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.
I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?
it's probably from assholes making asks a minefield of trolling/harassment for years with no real blocking ability, which turned people off from allowing asks on their blogs so as a whole the site moved away from it
but now that we do have better blocking, we should try to revive it.
i'm just gonna hold onto noah saying that will would get his happy ending, and any leaks that don't align with that won't be true to me. because if this person's leaks were true, he would most definitely not be getting his happy ending, and i would need to have a convo with the duffers 👍
whoever took that leaked video better watch their back because i'm coming for them. they are the reason i'm going to be laying awake at night for weeks now wondering what mike is saying

played stray for the first time recently and wanted to share some of my favorite screenshots from my first playthrough. i went into this game completely blind and it was so worth it
