Itâs been longer than you intended without George. Allie has really been the bestest friend you couldâve ever had. Between the nights out, deep conversations, laughter, and tears, sheâs been there for you.
âSo when are you going back?â Allie leans against the doorframe of the bathroom. You finish applying your mascara, âI was thinking tomorrow. I feel like the time away hopefully made him realize how much of an impact Iâm making in his life.â A little smirk appears on your lips, Allie giggles at your pettiness. âEvil. Hey! If you wanna call him up you totally can.â You just nod and thank her.
Later that night you finally get the courage to call George. You dial his number and wait for the pick up. âHello?â A sleepy gravely voice comes through the speaker. âHey, babyâŠâ Your voice is shaky due to nerves, what if he hung up, what if he was seeing someone while you were away, what if- âHey, luv, you alright?â His voice soothed your worry, it always tended to. âYeah, you sound sleepy. Did I wake you? Iâm sorry.â
You both ended up talking for a while. He never asked when you were coming back as if he just knew you were. He told you that he was set to go on his Dark Horse tour tomorrow. Your heart grew heavy as did your eye lids, you both said goodnightâs and I love youâs. Hanging up and falling asleep.
The next morning you woke up to the sun in your face, the door opened and itâs Allie. âHey, howâd you sleep?â You sit up in your bed and pat the space next to you. âI slept great! George and I called for a while and he told me that heâs going on tour today. I might surprise him.â Youâre feeling a bit giggly at the idea of seeing him. âWell then get up and ready!â Allie pulls you out of bed.
As you get ready thereâs music, laughter, and just having fun! Allie picked out an outfit for you, a white, lace neckline, bell sleeved shirts, brown short shorts, and dark orange Go-Goâs. You thought that you looked stunning, your hair was in its natural state and you had minimal to no makeup on. Allie makes a crude comment âwell if you put on makeup, itâs just gonna get ruined when he sees you!â You shove her and both erupt in a fit of giggles.
Bags packed, done up, car packed, goodbyes and âsee you soonâ given. You backed out of Allies driveway and headed for the arena George was playing at tonight. You knew that heâd be there for rehearsal quite early, singing, getting the band prepared, goofing off, maybe a small drink beforehand. You were excited but still nervous. What if he didnât want to see you after leaving? What if you walk in and heâs with another woman? Your head fills with doubts but you calm yourself down as The Doors start to play.

As he gets ready for rehearsal he wonders if heâs gonna see her again. Heâs been a mess recently, coke, drinking, not eating. Ringo told him that sheâd come back, He doesnât know if he believes him though. He was a real dick. Thereâs a knock on his dressing room door and his hopes rise thinking that it could be her. âCome in!â He calls out. Ringo walks in and up to his chair, âHow are you Geo?â Ringo looks down at George as he looks up at Ringo, âNot too well, Rich. I wonder if sheâs gonna come back. I mean we talked all last night. We said âI love you.â He rubs his temples and groans.
As Ringo and George talk they both realize that they should rehearse once more to get the show down. Ringo leaves and that leaves George to stare in the mirror. He has a picture of him and his love from way back in his âteddy boyâ era, he chuckles at the look on his face: stern with a slight bashful smile. His girl on the other hand: all in love and sweet on him.

You arrive at the stadium, parking your car and getting out, your hair wiping around due to the wind, looking straight out of a dusty movie. You walk through the back door, making your way through the long halls you find a door with the name GEORGE HARRISON placed on it. You know slightly and you hear that voice youâve needed to hear. âCome in!â you walk in and his eyes light up. You couldâve sworn you saw hearts in his pupils. He runs and sweeps you on your feet.
A muffled âoh my godâ is barely audible due to his face being buried in your neck. Sniffles and kisses. âI thought you hated me. I thought Iâd never see you again, Luv.â His worried tone made you pull back to look at his watered eyes. You shake your head. âYou canât get rid of me that easily, George.â
Lips crash together and hands explore. âBaby you have no idea how much I missed youâ He says between kisses. You both are just making out on the couch thatâs against the wall in his dressing room. Ringo walks in and yelps, âBloody hell!â You both pull apart. âHey, Rings!â You look shy, peaking out from behind George. You get up and hug Ringo, âNice to see you again, kid.â
As you both pull away from the hug Ringo looks at George. âOn stage now, Mr. Harrison. Last rehearsal. You can join if you want as well of course, Mrs. Harrison.â He winks. George looks at Ringo and he rolls his eyes, a slight toothy grin shows on his face. You grab Georgeâs hand, âI would love too!â
You all leave the room and head to the stage. As you leave George pulls you closer and whispers âIf not for you. Babe, I couldnât even find the door.â You look up at him through lashes, raise on your toes, and peck his lips. âI love you George.â
