So I was gone for the last five days visiting friends in Ottawa and Mat was like I’ll be fine I can cook and even when his friends were like…no gf?? How are you eating?? He was like omg guys I can cook

In the last five days he ate: all the leftovers I left him, frozen pizza, kraft dinner, chicken nuggets from the freezer, 2 tubs of ice cream.

And even still, when I was like “isn’t your life so much better with me in it?” He shrugged and was like “its easier” -_-

Also as predicted we have a fruit fly infestation because he didnt take out any garbage in the last week. (Last time I left for 5 days I came back and we had an ant infestation)

I found a diamond! I found the golden needle in the haystack! One of my dude friends here; new guy, human version of a golden retriever (even likes head pats and, boy, is his hair fun to pat), is slowly furnishing his apartment. In the meantime, some of the things he’s McGyver’d up: - Honey and soy sauce pork - hand, slow-drip, self-ground coffee (no kettle, heats his water in a saucepan on the stove) - Lights candles using the gas stove because why not - Rice on the stove (I can’t do this it’s hella difficult) - Slow cooker-style succulent roasted chicken in sauce. Without a slow cooker. Needless to say I am thoroughly impressed with this abnormal specimen and am 100% OK with having to take him out for walks on a daily basis.
