how do people own entire shelves full of hardcover books? one hardcover here equals to the price three paperbacks, sometimes even more. How can you afford that??

 i literally never buy hardbacks unless i find them used, or else somethings they have them at at the bookstore on clearance for like 6$, but otherwise hardbacks are so expensivee

I save up to buy my favourite books as hardbacks, but they are so much more expensive so most of the time I just get the paperbacks- unless the hardback design is like super super super pretty. Also recently in the UK some publishers are selling ‘hardback’ editions that are just over sized paperbacks with a slightly glossier cover, which is such a rip off.

I’ll buy both. When I order books online, I look for the hard cover because of the discount. Unless it’s sold out then I’ll buy the paperback. I also save up my points so I can get a really good discount.

Also, I’ve gotten into series way too late to order the hardcovers but I’ve lucked out and the covers are the same as the hardbacks.

Lmao there are no book discounts in Germany haha If you have store cards you’ll maybe save $1, but all english books have fixed prices, so they never go on sale.

I buy both, but I've never seen a hardcover that equaled three paperbacks. Usually hardcovers are like 16-18€ and paperbacks are 8-10€, so it's two times as expensive but if you get them as gifts and buy both, idk I think it's possible.. Also, I rarely find English hardcovers in Germany ^^

2016 Reading Goals

~ Read 50 books (I've read about 40 books this year so if I put some effort into it I hope I can do it even with school) ~ Minimize my tbr pile (After Christmas and my birthday it's up to like 70 books or so and I hope to get it to a number under 40 by the end of 2016) ~ Read the books that have been on my shelf for years (There's a lot of them and I hope to read at least a few of them) ~ Finish the series I started

Final Treesofreverie Readathon Update!

So I know there’s still like 5 hours left, but since I won’t really have time to read in those (maybe just like 30 pages or so) I’ll wrap up what I’ve read now!

I finished a total of two books, and started like 4  (oops) but I’m really happy with how much I’ve read

Books finished Heir of Fire ~ Sarah J. Maas Attachments ~ Rainbow Rowell

Books started Lament ~ Maggie Stiefvater (197 pages) The darkest Minds ~ Alexandra Bracken (119 pages) Queen of Shadows ~ Sarah J. Maas (51 pages) The Scorpio Races ~ Maggie Stiefvater (9 pages)

This sums up to a total of 1.067 pages, which I think is really good and matches my goal to read 1.000 pages! Unfortunately, I haven’t finished 3 books, but I’m still happy.
