Very rough sketch of the Hellsing OC, Roxanne ferch Bran, bratting out on top of an Ent she's drawn-up from the surrounding flora. My computer is dead af rn so no digital yet.

In the backstory I wrote between shifts, she's an indentured Hellsing Organisation operative specialising in tracking down wandering rogue cryptids, monsters and aberrants. She does absolutely no fighting herself, instead using chlorokinesis to direct plants, trees and their roots to do her dirty work for her, so long as she is earthed. Must permanently wear sunglasses to obscure her eyes. Organisation files speculate that she may be a dryad, not a druidess, but it's not confirmed.

- I've rolled through three jobs since I last posted here, my art has gone down the shitter due to said jobs (but I'm gonna claw that back). I'm night-people permanently now too and am about to see prolonged sun for the first time in 4 years next week, like a pit pony. Might go blind idk yet.

- I lost a good chunk of my family to mystery cancers after the pandemic, including my mother which has absolutely fucked me up in ways I can't begin to describe.

- I live in an anarcho-tyrannical police state run by actual fucking criminals now apparently which absolutely sucks ass, and speaking about how much it sucks ass can get me a longer jail sentence than a r*pist would receive.

- Have not had the headspace to even be OL due to all of the above, until now.

basically, i think the general rule of thumb is: if someone REALLY wants the blood that’s inside of your body, and they’re like… a vampire, or a dracula, or some sort of mansquito, then that’s probably okay. a dracula and a mansquito are made for removing things like blood and swords from inside your body. that’s basically fine.

if something wants to get at your blood, and they’re, say, some kind of murdersaurus, or maybe a really big frog, that’s where the problems start to arise. a really frog is not made for removing blood, and your blood knows this, which is why it is so vehement about wanting to stay IN your body instead of coming out. 

unfortunately this will not deter a really big frog, because a really big frog is full of things like prizes, and value, and quite a lot of hatred, and it would REALLY rather like to replace any and all of those things with your blood, and basically by any means possible.
