watched a trailer for this movie called Digger and its v funny to me that Sandra Hüller is starring in a movie abt blowing up the antarctic. They couldn't fit it into phm so she was like bet, I'll do it elsewhere 👍

The couple of times I watched the movie I didn't feel much towards Eva Stratt, a bit of dislike maybe? but DUDEE now I've been listening to the audiobook. She has so many scenes and I fucking LOVE HER. She's incredibly iconic!!! I probably wouldn't befriend her irl but she's cool af, definitely one of my favourite characters now :0

Personally, one of my favourite things has to be her dynamic with Grace?? She asks him for his opinion all the time (logically because she doesn't understand some science but the fact that she always trusts him before any other scientist on the planet? wow! really, sometimes it just feels like she values his opinion :0). This is reallyyyy making me understand why she'd sent him to space, of course you'd wanna send your most trusted scientist to save humanity! :000

Ahhh and they kinda complement eachother on a very interesting way...? idk how to explain it, maybe <<insert the scene where Grace calls her a sexist and she tells him to encourage his female students to get into stem>> (awful oversimplification of that awesome dialogue), I guess what I mean is their interactions are fun! and when they aren't it's still very interesting to see :DD

some headcanons to feed the masses

- grace likes chewing on straws. plastic ones specifically but also he had a whole collection of those funky rainbow looping ones youd get off of amazon

- stratt likes rats/mice, literally any rodents in general, and while shes fine with animal testing because its necessary she will absolutely not at all stand for testing on rodents. that woman will flip. she also has a mouse named pixie

- ilyukhina probably has around a billion hair ties, over half of them are lost, and she keeps going back to target to get more. among her personal items you will find 20 packs of straight-up hair ties

- grace has been put in mini ponytails by his students too many times to count. they also keep throwing paper with random science puns scribbled over them at him as an inside joke

- rocky has 178 different sizes of wrench. different forms, colors…. just. wrench.
