Okay so Scar passes this test despite being on all fours; geninuely what the fuck is the problem here. What counts as passing and not passing this test, where does it end?
So, if scar somehow fails this test, DESPITE PASSING IT, IS THERE AN EXTRA INVISIBLE RULE, and is therefore "too animal like to be sexualized morally", according to the sexyman wiki...
What's the fucking limit? Where's the line?? What makes some furries okay, but others not okay if they pass this test? How human like do they have to act, how human like to they have to appear? Is one trace of animal feature enough to put them on the ban list?
So, since there's seemingly no limit, let me just humbly suggest some other Tumblr sexyman that should included on this "sexyman ban list" of theirs to show how stupid this shit is.
No more Sonic and Shadow simping allowed cuz they're very clearly hedgehogs, despite them basically acting just like people, have human motivations, etc.
No more Bowser simping allowed because he's a large monster fire turtle, and while he has more animal traits then Sonic and Shadow, he still passes the test, as he has human motivations, human traits, and in fact he's a incredibly good father and has his own agency and is legitimately one of the funniest fucking mario characters when he gets to speak in the RPGs
No more fucking Raymond simping cuz he's a poor little Meow Meow and is too innocent for sexy stuff-- despite the fact that Animal Crossing is literally about connecting with the animals in your goddamn town and you're SUPPOSED to get attached to your villagers in some sort of way (including finding them hot)
No more Discord simping because he's... Well, everything, despite him literally being the god of chaos, incredibly goofy after being reformed, and is basically ends up having a very real loving heart deep down?
And if you reaaally wanna play this game, now there's no more Alastor simping because he's a partially a deer despite Alastor's battle for his own agency being one of the his MAIN character motivations???
And fuck, let's push this EVEN MORE, because why the fuck not! Because where the fuck is the line?? I guess no more Vox simping either, because he's VERY partially a Shark and he has has shark gills, despite him being incredibly human like (minus the object head).
My point being, is pick a line and STICK with it. This test was invented to be the fucking line.
Scar passes this test, and so do all of these characters I mentioned, all with highlu varying degrees of physical athro/human traits, so therefore, if I had to guess, maybe Scar being on all fours is the problem, despite passing the test, which is why he fails the test, but then where the hell does the athro level have to be for something to be okay or not?
Like, for example, Alastor, who is normally only vaguely a deer, becomes more MUCH deer like and animal like when he goes into his full demon form, so does Alastor cross the line ONLY in his demon form? Or does he also cross the line in all cases?
Like, let me be clear, I'm not even attracted to men, and I'm not even allo, as I'm sapphic aroacespec: but I seriously don't understand what is the allo world's problem with shaming sex yet acting like it's the one thing every human being deeply desires. As long as you're not hurting yourself or others and it's consental; I couldn't give less of a fuck who you love and what you do in your intimate lives. It is absolutely bizzare trying to police what people, especially consenting people, do in their own bedrooms.
There is definitely some instances where what people are into even in a fictional setting can be really alarming and reason for concern, I agree with that, but this shit is too far.
Anyone who polices what people can and can't find sexy with fictional fucking characters (especially if they're DRAWN cartoons or CGI) past the age of 18 needs to either 1. grow up. 2. Go touch grass. Or 3. or get out of fandom spaces until you complete options 1 and 2.
Not to mention tumblr sexyman are especially linked with women, queer people, poc, and neurodivergant groups in fandom... which are all the most comment targets of the "EW THIS IS CRINGE AND PROBLEMTIC!!" shaming culture, or we're instead seen as tools to be weapons the exact same morality police.
Also the fact that unconventional bodied men are being found attractive by a lot of people is actually a pretty good thing, because men are under a lot of beauty pressure just like women (although obviously not to the same extreme) and it does mean something for men and boys for skinny, feminine, and unconventional male characters to be seen as attractive and beautiful. It tares down the idea of the "Macho Chad man," that so many young men think they must be and are are being dragged into by the alt right praying on their insecurities.
Openly being attracted to what's considered "unconventional," is considered an act of difance by wider society, tumblr sexyman are considered "unconventional," and the wider pressure tries to convince people that it's "problematic and cringe," to be into what's considered "unconventional," even if there's nothing actually fucking wrong with it. And it's insane that the fucking SEXYMAN WIKI are part of the fucking problem. What a joke.
