ChatGPT uses 1-3 bottles of water for cooling for every query you put into it. This is FRESH WATER, which is evaporated and eventually mostly returns to the ocean, effectively removing a lot of it from our already dwindling fresh water supply on the planet. It also consumes 17 THOUSAND TIMES more electricity than the average American home.

The AI boom wastes so much electricity that we are very immediately risking US cities having to have rolling blackouts just to keep up with the energy demands, as early as NEXT YEAR

More AI use = more data centers = power drain on local cities = gas, electricity, and water utility prices rise because all of our resources are being funneled into a machine that makes garbage

individual AI usage is absolutely dwarfed by the environmental impacts of an omnivore diet.

over one quarter of water use, for all humanity, is made up by agriculture. so how about we direct this focus and passion onto that. i am not defending AI. but agriculture is currently a significantly larger problem that for some truly bewildering reason, nobody seems to give a shit about in comparison!

this is only forgivable if that person absolutely cannot access alternatives and needs it for their core health

that said if you are privileged enough to access alternatives, or not need a certain supplement to live, i cannot forgive you for eating animals

humans are far past the point of other species like wild hawks. if you do not need to do the bare minimum of harm to survive you should not be doing harm at all.

you're not a lion in the savannah, you can go out, get a job, and buy some tofu for the week. if you are willing to spend money towards direct harm you should be willing to spend that money on supplements and alternatives that directly act against that harm.

I just learned humans set out traps to capture sharks and kill them. As a means to protect humans from shark attacks.

Shark attacks are rare, especially lethal ones. More so than, for instance, dog attacks. Should we give dogs the same treatments? Just as a precaution? Or better yet, should we do that for the animal responsible for most human death — humans?

These so-called heroes claim to target aggressive shark species such as bull sharks and tiger sharks. Though in a video caught by a drone they were gutting a nurse shark. Are you fucking kidding me?

I get so sick. So angry. I don't want to be a part of this species. All they do is hurt the vulnerable. Hurt the beautiful. No, it doesn't matter. They hurt everyone.

I don't want to live on a planet with so much ugliness. I can't live on a planet with empty oceans and empty forests.
