The Art of Salvatore-Battaglia

Salvatore Battaglia (b.1985, Sicily) studied at Liceo Artistico “Diego Bianca Amato” in Cefalù graduating with a diploma in goldsmithing and an art master qualification. His latest collection pays homage to the cultural wonderland of Sicily with inspirations from Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Norman and Spanish heritages. The artist combines traditional Sicilian Majolica techniques with the use of 24k gold features. The Majolica ceramics have survived centuries and the stories they tell remain as vital, unique and vibrant as the hand-painted ornamentations themselves. Visit his Website
