I had an incredibly vivid dream last night about a movie that doesn't exist and I have to talk about it.
It was called "Star Lander" and it was about a teenage boy from Outer Space who was trying to fit in at his local highschool. I remember it felt a lot like "Grease" because John Travolta played the main character and all the other characters were teenagers as well, just like in Grease. I don't remember his real name but the character's nickname was "Star Lander" hence the name of the film.
His character also received advice from a talking statue. Does this have anything to do with the rest of the movie? Not at all. It was just a quirky side plot.
It came out in 1977 or 1976. Just think your average comedy/romantic movie from that time period with lots of corny jokes that don't age very well.
The movie ended with all of the characters having a party on the beach. And get this, the film was directed by George Lucas.
It was so incredibly vivid and detailed I would have sworn it was a real movie.
Anyway, now I want to watch Grease (which is still a real movie as far as I know lol)
