You were heard!
We've reached our goal, thanks to your support. Coca-Cola has come to our building and apologized personally, and have taken the billboard down. They have apologized in a more public way by temporarily replacing the words "Tut mir nicht leid" by "Tut uns leid" (we're sorry!).
As I said before, I believed Coca-Cola would not like their brand associated with injustice. Unfortunately, there's no guarantee that our landlord won't put another poster up when he returns from his vacation. But I do believe this whole thing means he will think twice before doing something of the sort.
I'm glad we were able to make a difference while staying completely within the law, and showed one more time the power of a lot of people (all over the world!) getting together for a cause.
Many thanks to all of you who helped, commented (compliments, suggestions and constructive criticism) from us. This has been tremendous. This wouldn't have happened without your effort, so thank you for signing and sharing.
And thanks to Change.org for all their amazing Berlin team!
Best,
