“The Lord who has taken care of you till today, will He not manage your affairs in the future?”
Imam Shāfi’ie
Taking care of yourself is soo hard, you can be fully aware of how toxic you are being to yourself and possess the knowledge needed to move in a positive direction but still limit your efforts sometimes because you are afraid of not being able to maintain it.
This clearly is not being promoting by @mcdonalds or legal in any way but in guangzhou China, discrimination against black people seems to be the law.
😱 Whaaaat? Wild from start to finish.
Literally everyday since March 28 when they place their border ban, it’s been wild. Pray for the expats, especially black expats.
When people are callous and selfish, I try to show them that I can be cold too. I fall back, be silent, let them feel my distance. It doesn’t come naturally. It’s a strain to not talk to someone you care about. Like trying to take a full breath but not being able to. But I get through it. Usually, I end up learning something too. I learn that my absence isn’t really felt, nor my presence necessary. I am a choice that wasn’t made, and I can’t be mad at that. I guess I can be upset, but only inwardly. Only quietly, to myself. Let it be. You can’t change what you mean to someone.

being a woman is just constantly hating your immediate present self and then looking back and hating your past self for not appreciating your beauty and opportunities at that time and it just goes on like. forever
“That was one of the saddest things about people—their most important thoughts and feelings often went unspoken and barely understood.”
