I really wanna see Columbo figure out the truth behind Soul Gems and interrogate Kyubey solely because it'd be absolutely fucking hilarious. Homura's out here trying to figure out how to save Madoka and then Columbo shows up randomly in one timeline and exposes Kyubey from the get go

I published a new video essay talking about the importance and meaning behind Mami's entrance. I hope you enjoy my breakdown!
I had never noticed this before, but from this excerpt from Episode 3 where Homura and Mami have their confrontation, the shadow cast around Homura's feet looks like the wings of a butterfly.
While I don't think the butterfly imagery is specifically important (well, besides some obvious stuff with cocoons and such), I'm pointing this out because I didn't realize how early Homura's wings were foreshadowed.
plot of rebellion in a nutshell
madoka use to eat cheeseburgers
For my fellow Nagisa enjoyers, here's another headcanon. Nagisa's mom would constantly berate her for being immature and continuously tell her to “grow up”. Taking this sentiment to heart, as she is in present day Magireco, she uses more complex sentence structure, along with longer and more sophisticated words, as a way to prove she has indeed “grown up”.
Getting to write Mami as a badass for a change of pace is amazing. I already love this alternate take on Mami I'm doing
STOP SCROLLING This a checkpoint to make sure you're doing alright! Have some happy Homuras to help you through the day! Keep doing your best!
The absolute raw lesbian energy Homura exuded in this moment is why Rebellion is peak fiction
Headcanon; Mami freezes when Charlotte approaches her because she actually sees Nagisa's face. I've always had the idea that there was some timelines in which Mami and Nagisa met. In the main timeline we see, this never happens, but upon seeing Charlotte, Mami perhaps felt a sense of connection to her. Mami doesn't exactly seem scared by Charlotte, and it's almost more so like she's confused by the situation.
Additionally, Homura must know of their connection beyond just being “Killer and Victim”, and it's my opinion that Homura was going to say “This witch isn't like the others, it's Momoe”, or something along those lines in order to try and stir some kind of a reaction from her. I simply don't think Homura allowed Nagisa into her labyrinth, and let her live with Mami, just because they're tied to that one specific moment, and there always seemed to be more to it than that to me.
Madoka Magica Realizations
Until recently, it never occurred to me that Madoka has memories of her Magical Girl costume, and that's how she able to design it with such accuracy in her campus note. It makes sense and fits the show based on things that happen later, Madoka does indeed have memories of old timelines, i.e, her dream in Ep. 1 is a memory of the previous timeline, so it is entirely possible she has residual memories of the costume from various timelines.
I've been on this for about a year and a half, but here's a very detailed analysis on the epilogue of the Rebellion Epilogue.
One Magical Moment was inspired by Nando V Movies' 'One Marvelous Scene' series wherein creators collaborated to discuss their favorite scenes from Marvel Movies and Series. Anyone watching this is invited to make their own video like this, but as long as you credit me as the original creator of the series.
Hitomi is the strongest character in the series
