Congratulations third party voters. Trump is winning your state
Hereās the thing. If you vote for Donald Trump you better be goddamn sure about why youāre doing it and who you as a person are and who your friends are.
If he wins, come November 9th, come 6 months from now, come 3 years from now, you better be able to look me in the eye and say āI think my choice benefited me and you equallyā. You better be able to say that to your female, non-white, non-Christian, non-straight, non-upper middle or upper class, non-multi generational American friends. If you can honestly listen to them say āi lost this basic human right because of trumps actionsā and tell them that heās in office because of youā¦. then you can do me a favor and never look at me or them ever again.
That goes for third party voters and non-voters too. If you arenāt directly voting against him then youāre basically voting for him. And I hope you are damn sure of your choices.
Trump is only two points ahead in Texas now. If youāre in Texas and vote third party or donāt vote this year, I will personally never forgive you for stealing the joy of watching the GOP freak out at Texas going blue from me.
Fellow Texans: DO NOT WRITE IN BERNIE.Ā
He literally does not want your vote, he literally wants you to vote for Hillary, and because of this he did not file to be an approved write-in candidate which means if you write him in your vote literally does not count.
For all voters in all states who were thinking of doing a Bernie write in.
Also because apparently people donāt know this: write-ins donāt count in most states unless the candidate registers with the state elections board to be accepted as a write-in candidate. Guess who has not registered for a write-in campaign anywhere: Bernie Sanders.Ā
Oh, and Arkansas, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, Oklahoma, and South Dakota donāt accept write-in candidates, period.
Writing in Bernie on your ballot (in any state) wonāt just be a wasted, foolish, myopic, selfish tantrum, it will be against the express wishes of the candidate you so claim to admire. Donāt be a fucking moron.Ā
Donāt split the vote!!! Itās a wasted vote, and a useless form of āprotest.āĀ

I miss Ireland

Friday 19 June: Finale This is what I felted for my creative project! I have really taken a liking to felting while I've been here. It's something I hope I can pick up at home. The left is both the tower I saw on the Game of Thrones tour and my life before Arts Care, not dark per se but lacking art. The rainbow is representative of my time at Arts Card- vibrant and beautiful. I also saw a lot of awesome rainbows while here. The right is what I hope to take home with me and is a music note and paint palette. I haven't sung or played piano or guitar in a really long time and this trip reminded me of how much I missed it. I also dabbled in painting while here which is a first- I don't really consider myself artistic at all. I chose a lighter background to be a contrast to before Arts Care. The green base is for Ireland and all the green landscape I've seen. It didn't turn out quite how I wanted and I honestly could've done a larger piece if I had more time and more material and I had to sew some thin pieces back together but all in all I'm happy with it.
Pretty sure Giants or aliens or alien giants are real. Iām fond of geometric rock stacks. #nature (at Giants Causeway Coastal Walk)
Where I'm From
This is a poem I wrote for class, in the style of George Ella Lyonās poem āWhere Iām Fromā.
I am from needles, nitrogen, and phosphorus. I am from the soil of strawberries and the grit of sand. I am from banyan trees and poinsettias with leaves the red of a beating heart.
I am from stolen chocolate chips and southern baked beans, from the Stones and Zeppelins that fall to the ground. I am from the need to be heard in two different ways.
I am from the farms in the southern hills, where the sweat ran hot in the summers. I am from the seas of the peninsula and the grains of the world. I am from stationary roots and the constant whir of a plane engine, and somehow the static and the vibrant met and moved together in the quietest of places.
I am from the divorce and the divorce before the Great Divorce. I am from sips of coffee and gulps of whiskey. I am from cornbread and rhubarb pie.
Iām from a fondness of sheep and āYou were my ideaā That followed finding the wool and a silk animal.
I am from a heart murmur and rheumatic fever. I am from braces and perms, a smile that rarely seems true but eyes that twinkle with knowing. I am from the two fingers my great grandfather lost to a combine, and the toil of feeding a nation.
Iām from Be kind! and Play with others! Iām from solitude and the dust of oak that sat on the worn pages. Iām from scraped knees as the sky sought to be touched.
Iām from a heart that stilled and the heart that slowed at the loss, hoping to give some of the beats back.
Thereās a basket in my closet full of stills from those lives, each fonder than the last and full of breaths frozen in time. Each face is tucked away in my memories for safe keeping- their stories should not be forgotten. With it is a blanket, worn and full of holes but somehow still overflowing with love.
But if you listen to the ticking and ask me now, the most important thing is- Iām from right here.
