Gonna get a little spookier— Mostly Egon Spengler (Ghostbusters) fanfic, MAYBE Fox Mulder (X-files) fics, potentially a few of my more fanciful or Goth-y outfits and just generally things outside of the usual Spencer Reid pining situation on my main.
Our regularly scheduled garbage will probably be posted about once a week-ish? But I'm also thinking of doing some different fun things for Halloween

I write in 2nd person (x you), and currently only write fem! Readers, because that is within the realm of my own experience
Generally, I only write angst and fluff, BUT. If I do decide to enter into publishing anything smut (which is unlikely) it would probably be here. Takes the pressure off.
I’ll definitely start by writing for my favorite paranormal loving dork, Egon Spengler and Nick Andopolis, the cutest stoner this side of the millennium — but I may branch out later and do some different characters

A/N- I don't personally celebrate Hanukkah-- but I tried my best! Please let me know if something is inaccurate, contradictory, or anything like that!
“Honey, we're home.” Peter did that every time the guys got back. Whether it was towards you, Janine, or even Egon if he stayed behind in the lab–it didn’t matter. This time you were grateful for the announcement because you were cooking a surprise and you weren’t quite done yet. Luckily for you it was Egon’s turn to put the ghost in containment so when everyone else flocked to the kitchen the surprise wasn’t ruined before it could start.
“What are you making?”
“Well Egon’s heading out to go see his family for Hanukkah tomorrow, and I wanted to do something a little bit special since I’m not going to see him for a while. I’m making sufganiyot– I really hope he likes it.” You looked down at your work hopeful, and a little bit proud.
“Awww.” Peter and Winston were looking at each other as they drew out the sound for as long as possible— mocking you mercilessly.
“Well there’s sugar everywhere and it looks like you’re frying something so I’m sure he’ll love it.” Ray chimed in— what a sweetie.
“I hope so— could you guys distract him for like 5 minutes so I can get these done?”
“Sure. Do you guys think we should try the barbershop quartet routine or—?”
“We could always just ask him to explain the difference between edible and non-edible mushrooms.” You mouthed a quick ‘thank you’ to Ray as he pulled the guys through the hall towards the lab.
Egon got suspicious quickly when he finished containing the recent ghost— only to be prohibited from his post-job snack by Ray gently taking it from his hand and putting it back in his desk drawer. He got even more suspicious when he realized all 3 of his colleagues were just— watching him. Not saying anything, only standing in a lineup, smiling like idiots.
“Was there something in those cigarettes you three were smoking in the car?”
“No, we just don’t want you to spoil your appetite is all.”
“For the Chinese takeout we get every week? Multiple times a week?”
“Yes.”
“Ok. I’m going to go to the kitchen and get a soda—I’ll be right back.”
“Wait! Egon! Uh— life could be a dream- if I could take you up in paradise up above” Despite his commitment to the song— Egon was only more off-put by it and headed up to the kitchen
“Now what the hell was that”
“I was trying something.”
Egon was rushing to the kitchen now— his colleagues were trying to distract him, and if his lab was intact— that meant there was some fresh hell waiting for him in the kitchen. He did find a giant mess, as expected, but under a layer of flour you were standing there.
“Hi.”
“Hi.”
“What are you doing?” He wasn’t bothered, he was curious, and he also thought you looked adorable all covered in sugar.
“You’re leaving tomorrow so I wanted to do something special. You mentioned you liked the sufganiyot that your mom used to make so I got the recipe from the lady who owns the kosher grocery store.”
“The one on 90th street? It’s like a half hour away on the subway.”
“But they had the most options and the lady who owns it is so sweet.”
“You made those for me?” He grabbed your hand and kissed it, immediately getting powdered sugar on his face.
“Yeah, I kind of like you– in case you didn’t notice.”
“I noticed– and I kind of like you too, for the record.”
When Peter first met Egon, he had very short hair and the ugliest pair of glasses. Peter gave him a glow up - talked him into growing his hair out and insisted on taking him to get his next pair of glasses, picking out the round, steel framed ones he now wears ever since.
The ladies then absolutely fell over Egon after that. Peter was both proud and a teensy bit jealous.
the epididymus line? The way he kept smiling afterwards? He banged one of those science chicks the night before, for definite. They wanted his babies for sure.
So I am exceptionally behind— I had 6 more Egon stories I was going to write for October but we’re well into November and I can only think of ideas for my holiday related things. Would anyone be mad if I released shorter blurbs or more abstract concepts instead of full length fics
Yes- you promised. Take as long as necessary to finish all 6
No- stop thinking everyone’s mad at you all of the time
Skip the 6 for now, add 6 to holiday thing (would be in about 2-3 weeks)

I have 3 that are in progress, but I can’t get the ending right 😭 But I will have more time in December because my school semester ends on the 8th.
For sci-fi camp I recommend (other than ghostbusters) Young Frankenstein— it’s a super cute campy 70s homage to original 30s horror (it is in black and white though!
For action I really like Die Hard 3– The best die hard in my opinion
For Romance I’m partial to Lisa Frankenstein— oops still sci-fi— but it’s still 80s silliness (but not actually made in the 80s) and Cole sprouse functionally being a mime of a corpse
And if you like 70s comedy I’m currently obsessed with Saturday Night (but I think that’s still in theaters) but the acting is great and the score is phenomenal
