I have read 21 volumes of the jjk manga which is a bit more then season 3 and im wondering

Where was it said that Sukuna hates Yuji? Like i see in the fandom things like "if Yujii became bad Sukuna would become good because he hates him so much" and like idk maybe i missed it or someting but like for me it never seemed like he hates Yujii any more then anybody else like hes annoyed with the fact that he has to share a body with this random guy but like to change sides because of that? Like i get exaggeration, but i just dont see this

The biggest evidence is at the end. I’ll avoid spoilers but Sukuna has a moment in the manga where he contemplates his morals and if he’s changed (answer no). He decides he just really doesn’t like Yuuji’s ideals and how despite being weak, Yuuji’s will keeps him going. Yuuji is an antithesis to Sukuna’s might makes right.

The fandom takes this to 100, Sukuna obviously wouldn’t change sides. But he does specifically have it out to Yuuji for being his cage and being an opposite of Sukuna’s ideals and way of life.

it is konoha folklore that kakashi's first chunnin uniform is cursed because 3 seperate tailors tried and gave up on making it cause it was giving them nightmares (Hashirama was haunting a LOT of people when he realized they were making a SIX YEAR OLD a chunnin) so Minato ended up making it himself. minato doesn't have nightmares because he killed the part of his brain that produces guilt years ago so he makes it easy peasy, but honestly that only makes the uniform more infamous and scary because god only KNOWS what seals his paranoid ass snuck into that kid's vest lmao

ok so I’ve read your hcs about kakashi not being in touch with his instincts and being more like a husky in comparison to his full on wolf ancestors. But consider. Kakashi was a chunin at six years old (or smthn Naruto timeline is spaghetti) and one of the most important things for ninja is to trust and listen to your instincts and your body. If I had to guess it’s something hammered into the head of every single academy student from first day on. So Kakashi, a licensed killer but still six, and suddenly without a parent to take care of him. So he does the one thing that’s been nailed into his head for as long as he can remember and listens to his instincts. And if his instincts tell him to hunt the wild rabbits that live on his clan lands and eat it raw. Then. He’s gonna do it bcs that’s what his body is telling him to do. It gets more under control after he gets placed under Minatos care and is eating more than raw animal meat he hunted fresh himself and plants that smell safe to eat (bcs dogs will eat grass sometimes so.) but when he’s alone he will eat what he has been eating. It only ramps back up when he gets put into ANBU (shoving my ANBU are forced to tap into older more animalistic instincts and then learn when to restrain them and when to let loose as a part of their orientation training ur way) and his time in ANBU forces him to refine those instincts in a way that living with his clan would have made him do he just had to get very very fucked up to get there and it doesn’t really go away once he’s forced to leave the ANBU.

What I’m getting at here is that Kakashi is a wolf dog that has been allowed to go completely feral again and among his pups (Team 7) the only one willing to eat raw meat with him is Naruto.

I wonder if it's known that his behavior comes from his fathers clan, or if there are rumors about why he is the way he is-- people might theorize that his mother was from Kiri, or that he's just Like That(tm) and a freak to be avoided, or maybe even that he's a follower of Jashin or smthn. So many options,, I love thinking about how outsiders looking might see the situation

But also, what's the Inuzuka clan like in this little AU? Are they more domesticated or a bit wilder, in ways that can relate to Kakashi? I wonder if Kakashi being this way would bring him closer to the clan, especially if you like the HC that his mother was an Inuzuka (personally I always thought it was a cute hc). Or just in general have him interacting with them in an interesting way

Counterpoint: Kakashi is a wolf raised by dogs. He was alone for a long time, but you can hc he had at least some ninken early. That kid was catching and cooking fish young in the anime. Tiny self sufficient prodigy who doesn’t like people cuz he wasn’t socialized around them and thinks they smell weird.

Kid Kakashi hunting rabbits in the woods before Pakkun tries to teach him to set traps or order his ninken. Kakashi is a brat about it until Pakkun hits the ninja training angle. By the time Minato comes into the picture, Kakashi is still half feral and will bite, but has taken to sowing clothes for his ninken so they don’t get cold. Minato’s big life time achievements are marrying Kushina, having a kid, being Hokage, and teaching Kakashi not to bite. There were definitely days where Minato nearly resorted to a spray bottle because dammit! Kakashi you can’t just tear people’s clothes with a kunai just because you don’t like them.

You're falling into the exact same traps that anyone else decrying Megumi's domain skills fall into:

no explanation on what Megumi was doing in the scene above in the open street

pulling an explanation of OBDs out and just deciding that Megumi doesn't fall into it

Megumi exclusively refers to a normal domain when he talks about his incomplete one

not being able to close a barrier with space altering properties doesn't mean that Megumi can't use barriers like the veil. He explicitly says that he can't place an artificial space of different sizes over reality. That's the skill he doesn't have

Megumi was ready to expand his domain in the street but he didn't because Reggie would've escaped -> meaning the skill to open a domain in the open in the same manner as Sukuna and Kenjaku is something that Megumi possess.

If Sukuna can do an open domain, and Kenjaku learned it after 1 thousand years, but Tengen can't even though she is the master of barrier techniques, then this tells us that OBD isn't just the next step of barrier techniques. This makes Megumi not able to close a normal domain barrier with space altering properties irrelevant.

But what could be a skill that helps make "painting on air" a reality?

Hanging your domain onto something that isn't your own barrier, maybe? A first step to discard your physical canvass and start painting on air. Like Megumi does against the finger bearer.

He uses a completely unique skill set no other sorcerer possess, to put his domain on top of someone else's barriers in a 1:1 ratio to reality. Then he expands his domain again, this time by using a physical structure aka a wall to hang his domain on top. After already confirming to us that he didn't need an external structure, while showing us that he now possesses a domain construct like Sukuna and Kenjaku.

Domain constructs aren't unique to OBDs, but taking the scene I've been talking about this whole time into context, it simply adds onto it.

The crux of the matter is:

Megumi doesn't know that open barrier domains are a thing, which is why he doesn't capitalise on what he can do and what he has. He thinks he has a second grade skill set even though Sukuna already praised him for what he can do: place his domain over someone else's

The other characters, when they talk about what Megumi did against the finger bearer, don't know that Megumi has progressed in his skills because right after the fight against Reggie, Megumi gets possessed. The others in Shinjuku talk about Megumi with outdated information

Yes, in this instance Megumi uses an external structure to forcefully close his domain to prevent an escape route. He does this with a normal domain in mind because he doesn't know anything else, not even what Sukuna can do.

This has nothing to do with what Megumi was ready to do in the earlier scene, where he was in the open street. He thinks about opening his domain without a structure in the open but he doesn't because Reggie could escape.

Ah gotcha. I’ll admit that’s an interesting thought. I’m not against the theory then. I interpreted it as Megumi saying he couldn’t open his incomplete domain because it couldn’t trap people, therefore he needed a building as a substitute. Now I really wish there was a Heian Sukuna AU where he’s just forced to deal with his non sorcerer nephew. Does Sukuna know Yuji’s his nephew? Probably not, but he knows Yuji is the most annoying brat in existence.

Like, maybe Sukuna is forced to bide his time due to a binding vow, or maybe Yuji is painfully oblivious to anything Sukuna’s really doing. Or maybe Sukuna is trying to figure out how to get his sealed finger out of Yuji without triggering incarnation or breaking future Sukuna’s binding vow with Kenjaku.

I just want Yuji trying to try and take Heian era Sukuna out for food and to see movies. Sukuna desperately misses Uraume and their competence while he’s forced to babysit Yuji. By the time sorcerers track down Sukuna they mistake Yuji as his kid or smth crazy. Sukuna would let them kill Yuji, but he’s invested far too much time trying to mold Yuji into something interesting (or maybe Sukuna still doesn’t want to screw over his future-self’s incarnation).

Toji Fushiguro was the Zenin clan's warning that their ways were going to end up getting them exterminated, because for as much of a monster as he was, it was an act of kindness that he didn't do exactly what Maki did years later.

They could've survived if they heeded that warning, if they had welcomed Maki and Mai with open arms, but they didn't, and now they're gone.

Ok, but how crazy was it that the Zenin clan idolized Toji after his death. He was the worthless black sheep, just like Maki. It was only after he beat Gojo, the Satoru Gojo, that the Zenin clan changed how they saw him. They puffed out their chest in pride that Toji was strong.

Naoya’s ‘your not Toji’ is insane when you realize no one thought anything of Toji until he beat Gojo. They could’ve seen Maki as a potential Toji, they likely would’ve considered it if she wasn’t a woman and a twin. Instead nothing changed until Maki proved she was strong.

I love this so much, your art is so cute. I love the mask design looking blank, only the barest detail describing a face and it’s a minimalist design of a pleasant expression. Perfect for Rin’s ‘normal’ girl attitude. Short hair Rin is also my new accepted hc. I’m a sucker for team Minato and I like the idea that none of them are normal, all are freaks wearing masks.

Rin’s probably doing some fucked up shit, I doubt it’s ‘perfect world Uchiha madness’ that Obito had. I imagine Rin doing more ‘cut off the leg to save the body’ type insanity. The idea that Rin’s surgically removing people and shinobi groups for a healthier world sounds cool.

I don’t know house of dragons but this makes me wish I knew a little. Are Yuji and Sukuna twins who were born from the same egg and Yuji is smaller because of that? Or did Yuji hatch separately (maybe later) and Sukuna didn’t eat or hurt him. I’d love to know if there’s different types of dragons and the quirks of their species.

Like are they independent from birth like lizards or dependent on parents like birds? Do they eat unhatched eggs or smaller siblings when they hatch? I imagine Sukuna’s an absolute menace to human society and only acknowledges strength and not titles. Yuji wouldn’t mind flying with a human I imagine, but he’d object if they tried to get him to kill other humans or dragons. Both would be difficult dragons, but Yuji would be easier since he’s friendly. It’s fitting that the two most stubborn characters in Jjk would make good dragons.

Yuji seems to have done everything Gojo expected him to do but looks like some part of the jujutsu society still didn't improve. I wonder if that's why he became so apathetic, even when he say "that's what you want right sensei?" in the panel where he's considering to back up and let the current sorcerers and aliens handle the whole conflict, I feel no sincerity or confidence in his words like he doesn't even believe in it anymore.

Can't help but make a call back to the Shibuya arc where he said "everything's I'm doing will make sense someday" yk with the cog mentality n all.

I agree with your sentiment that there is little confidence in his words. Yuji has always been an individual, who gets easily lonely and his apathetic (and tired) demeanor here is an obvious result of that deep loneliness which has likely gotten worse after watching his friends die. after all, functional immortality is quite literally one of the worst things that could have happened to someone like him, so his words to gojo struck me like he was trying to make sense of his prolonged existence.

I wouldn’t say that his state shocked me though, rather that it’s the realistic outcome of his own circumstances plus the lack of structural changes in jujutsu society (I talked about this plenty times before).

on top of that, I find it interesting, that he has adopted a detachment from his personal identity/name, similar to other spiritually elevated characters like Kenjaku, Tengen, Sukuna and EOS Gojo - the latter especially is tightly connected to the buddhist concept of “emptiness” also called sunyata btw, which importantly doesn’t equal to nihilism or apathy though!

just like jizo was entrusted with saving beings (especially those in the lower realms) in the time after the shakyamuni Buddha and also guide children, yuji does try to follow gojo’s path as he understands it. I do think though, that there are missing pieces in his spiritual path and that his understanding of gojo’s teaching’s isn’t entirely correct yet.

I really hope that we’ll get a meeting between him and Dabura soon (maybe Maru too).

I think it’s really interesting tbh. Tengen was a good person, but they didn’t volunteer to solve any issues. Their barriers were critically important and a huge net positive, but they never went out of their way to help. If you approached Tengen they would help and advise like a wise monk, but Tengen to be was a me was a neutral character.

They didn’t change how society functioned, clan drama and even Sukuna’s incarnation wasn’t something they interfered with. Yuji in Modulo reminds me of Tengen more than Gojo. Although we can’t make analysis or judgements on Yuji with how little we’ve seen far.

I’m super excited to see where Gege goes with this. To me, I think part of Yuji’s apparent apathy might be because he alone is the strongest. Gojo wanted his students be the strongest together and carry the burden together. But becuase Yuji is immortal and each generation is getting weaker, he’s stuck alone as the strongest. Nothing else matters because Yuji alone can solve every one of jujutsu society’s problems, so no one else needs to try.

Rika is also equally fucked up. It’s cute now that it’s Yuta’s grandkids, but how will Rika be treated generations down the line? Yuta’s grandkids already see her as a powerful ring vs a person. Some Obito x Kakashi details that make me insane:

1) Obito awakened his sharingan because Kakashi was hurt and he wanted to protect him

2) Kakashi is literally Obito’s “other half”, carrying the most critical missing piece of his body, and his only weakness

3) Obito never tried to take his eye back, even after Kakashi failed to keep his promise to protect Rin

4) Obito made Kakashi pierce him through the heart exactly the same way Rin made Kakashi pierce through her heart, because “she wanted to die by the hand of the one she loved”

5) Obito sacrifices himself for Kakashi and leaves him with his eyes, twice

6) In Obito’s vision of his ideal world, he is Hokage, with Kakashi by his side. (And Rin is still dead….)

7) Kakashi grieved Obito for 18 years, thinking he was dead, only to get him back for one day and lose him for good

8) Rin was killed right in front of Obito and Kakashi was there unconscious. Obito didn’t hurt Kakashi then, he didn’t even considered it even after he killed the enemy shinobi. Obito didn’t take his eye back or hurt Kakashi despite being in his darkest moment.

9) To Obito, killing Kakashi wouldn’t have had consequences since everyone would’ve been alive in his perfect dream world. Obito either didn’t want to kill Kakashi or wanted Kakashi to have a perfect dream too.

10) Obito could’ve stabbed Kakashi’s heart when he chidori’d him. Time and time again, Obito never killed Kakashi despite having reason and opportunity too. Obito is the fakest idgaf-er.
