being in the aot(attack on titan) fandom in 2021 when the final chapters were being released was not for the weak. the whole house was mad, especially on reddit and tiktok (cough twitter).

to me the ending was alright, could’ve been better yes but overall aight. mappa did it justice (the armin-eren convo got fixed), it was bittersweet, heartfelt, eren had to fckin go and he did (he became one of the best written protagonists). i love eremika, but yes the romantic aspect of their complex ahh relationship was introduced too late and my girl mikasa should’ve been handled better (i want a sequel on her post-rumbling, and yes i’m trusting ao3 for that).

i can’t believe i was actively interacting with this fandom when most of it was in ruins- like holy shi. however, the funniest memes came out during this era😮‍💨. WE was coping man.

platonic ships, like shipping two characters that may or may have not interacted/are enemies/never met (but u lowkey see the goated friendship potential) is HELLA UNDERRATED. coz i don’t see many ppl talkin abt it. i’ve seen some ppl say that “oh sukuna and gojo would’ve been best friends in another universe”, ig that is platonic shipping in a way for example, and there’s like fanfics written and fan art drawn abt them in that scenerio ykyk.

and a lil hot take ig; i love shipping pairs platonically AND romantically. like satosugu whether it’s romantic or platonic, i eat it up as long as the fanfic is written well and i like it personally. my fav platonic one has to be nobara x yuji, they’re frickin best friends/soulmates. but also in my opinion if they were a couple it would be just as goated. i’ve read some amazing fics abt this and woah, yeah that works.

tokyo revengers fandom in it’s prime was smth else

being in the tokyo revengers fandom during it’s peak feels so unreal now that folks on tiktok are getting all nostalgic about it and the 2021 era. oh yeah and being there when the fuckass ending dropped, but at that point i lost interest in the series already😕. i frickin love everyone in it tho, the men and (few) women😩. this and aot was deadass what really got me into tumblr fics and headcanons, holy moly they were good. can’t find em anymore on here and oh- i wasn’t logged into an account so when tumblr just stopped allowing you to scroll on website after a couple minutes i was devastated asf. but it did not stop me boi.

tr was just ughhh, the shit fr. and it was perfect for the time (2021, if the anime came out today it would’ve been clowned), i was immediately hooked when i saw the first eps on jan 2022 randomly. then i decided to go balls deep into the fandom on tiktok. then going on tumblr for fics and that’s when i realized tumblr rly is that girl😮‍💨🤞, always had me covered when it came to my favorite series’.

i was invested in the rather dramatic plot, and yes this manga has one of the best fashion!!! everyone is dripped out, their character designs eye-catching asf, the angst and the backstories were gut-wrenching, the characters were well written (except the haitani bros they just pretty faces fr but we still ate them up umm…), i enjoyed the entire cast personally, i loved yazuha and her brothers and their storyline holy hell (i forgot most their names coz it’s been years since i engaged in tr), mikey was arguably the highlight, he served as a great second mc and foil to takemichi and overall he is just so interesting 😩 gave gojo vibes so ofc he is husbando. and yes as the popular belief says the ending sucked ass… it really did, just gotten weaker and weaker, i was really expecting a bittersweet one. however, experiencing the manga leaks in real time was PEAK.

anyways takemichi had crazy fckin aura in this panel, this is when i really started liking him coz i did not gaf abt him at first. there were many other panels that just goes so hard!
