I feel like trump looking likely to beat a more competent and qualified female candidate twice, both being the only times a woman has been a nominated presidential candidate, is a real blow to the psyche for all women and girls in the U.S.. It seems to deliver a message of "no matter how put-together, professional, and smart you are, you will always lose to the dumbest, loudest man in the room."
That would only be true if you ignored how unpopular and corrupt those two women were.
self proclaimed leftists with entire graduate degrees on twitter not understanding that tourism in places like latin america and the caribbean is a form of neocolonialism even in places where the national economy is dependent on it. just because the government is making money off of ur lil excursions and hotel stays doesn’t mean regular citizens are, especially in your fave ‘tropical getaway spots’. the fact that sandals wanted to build an entire resort in tobago where my family lives might sound great for the economy or whatever until you realize that they would’ve closed off several acres of land and made it inaccessible to non-tourists which is fucking insane thing to even propose on such a small island. like i’m sorry but do you really think my family is grateful when you crackers come to visit during the winter?? do you really think your presence adds value to their lives?? when the govt invests money in ports but not paving the fucking roads anywhere that’s not downtown/vacation home territory?? you white losers need to put down ur marx for like half a sec and pick up a small place by jamaica kincaid. like lol if you wanna be a tourist be a tourist but don’t fucking act like anyone who refers to it as a contemporary form of colonialism is doing too much. ESPECIALLY when this sentiment is legit coming directly from the people living in the getaways you love to visit. i genuinely don’t understand how y’all can grasp the “there is no ethical consumption under capitalism” shit but can’t understand this.
tourists visit a place where the livelihoods of the 5% of the population they actually interact with are dependent on how well they’re able to kiss their asses and make them feel like they’re the most important people in the world and somehow they genuinely believe that this translates to all of the locals actually liking, respecting, and needing them.
Yes, people don't understand that because it frames paying people money for their services as an act of agression when the alternative is to choke a local ecconomy.
Obviously local governments and big businesses conspire without the good of the people in mind, Most Westerners outside of urban centers understand this intimately.
But as bad only maintaining part of a locality's infrastructure I never once heard an explanation how that situation could be improved by stopping tourism.
Either the damage is done and the investment into infrastructure turns into a debt and a black mark on the area's reputation, the money slows down or stops meaning that half-done work isn't done at all or the local economy is actually fine but the government is still corrupt.
This seems to be the case whether we're talking about Coastal Ibera, an island nation or a small mountain town.
So if you're intent on calling it "colonization" without a colony then you're going to need to propose a more moral course of option that what currently exists.
And dropping in snide remarks and slurs isn't going to make anyone want to listen to you
Call it a slur, call it a racial insult, if you find it appropriate then you are a hypocrite

The official narrative is in tatters
Israel has mandatory conscription for both male and female Jews. However I guess it's okay that Palestinian sympathetic left wing foreigners from other countries got murdered and babies got murdered because the Israeli adults had prior military service.
The left will literally support far right Nazi terrorists in Hamas and do propaganda for them because they hate Israel so much. So brave.
correction: They don't just hate Israel. They hate Jews.
I fail to see the relevance of them being soldiers.
Pearl Harbor was also an attack on military personal.
In almost every society, attack on military or military capabilities is considered an act of war.
Israel is not a White ethnistate.
But it is an ethnostate, though ~30% of its citizens are Non-Jews.
Palestine is also an ethnostate, but the Jewish population of the Gaza strip was removed in 2005.
Current demographic suggest that the population is completely Palestinian Arab and 99.8. Sunni Muslim.
I have no special Love for Israel’s government or any speak trust in its actions or motives.
But you show that you are using conflict as platform for your own ideological goals and preferences when you insert these hypocritical criticisms.
^ does not know what an ethnostate is
"The Jewish population of gaza was removed" you mean the settler population? The settler population doing settler colonialism? That population?
Then by all means enlighten me, how is an entirely homogenous ethnic population which exists because enforced segregation any less of an ethnic state than Israel?
I also find it interesting that you forget that there have been Jewish people in the region for millennia, to imply that every Jewish person in the modern Gaza Strip was someone recent is historical inaccurate.
Even if that were the case it hardly matters.
You can not argue that ethnostates are unethical while arguing that the complete removal of everyone of a certain ethnicity is right and just.
Israel is to blame for Hamas, but Israel should also leave Hamas alone.
How very interesting.

look at how goofy ali wong’s westernized áo dài looks compared to a traditional vietnamese áo dài and áo nhật bình
Look at how goofy your clothes are in comparison to the clothes of theory years ago.
Your objection is personal and relative.
based on literally all of ur posts i am certain that i am not alone in thinking that you are the most irritating person in the lives of everyone you know. go outside and reflect.
I don’t know, if I go outside I might see someone wearing fashion wrong and you seem quite upset about that.
You know, I think it’s pretty darn telling that when I made a post that said, “abortion isn’t solely a men vs. women fight – there are men who have uteruses, and women in power who have actively fought to end reproductive rights”, a whole lot of people came out of the woodwork to claim that I was wrong, because trans men and intersex men couldn’t possibly be targets of abortion restrictions, and that they were only accidentally affected due to being misclassified as women. But, the second part of what I said? The bit where I pointed out that, in addition to the fact that some men are victims, some women are active oppressors? Fucking crickets. No one bothered to address it at all – they responded to the first part of the post like the second part wasn’t there.
There is a large movement of far-right women who want to limit the bodily autonomy of all people, both women and men – via banning abortion and contraception, via banning trans-related healthcare, and in many cases, via explicit eugenics through the support of policies of blatant medical racism. You can’t just brush that under the rug, and you can’t just claim that the many female politicians and judges who are anti-choice are just gender traitors and therefore magically not really women.
In the United States, 59% of women are pro-choice, compared to only 45% of men. That’s certainly illustrative of there being a gender difference, probably due to misogyny. But put another way, there are MORE THAN SIXTY-NINE MILLION WOMEN who want to strip all people with uteruses, be they women or men, of their reproductive rights. That’s an awful lot of women to just conveniently forget about. That’s an awful fucking lot of women you need to strip of their agency in order to pretend that all women are your inherent allies in the abortion fight.
If you’re not willing to stop calling this a purely men vs. women fight for the sake of trans and intersex men existing? You know what – fine, pretend we don’t exist, I don’t even care anymore. But pretending that literal millions of cis women don’t exist is absurd, even for complete transphobes. The far right will never be your allies in the fight for bodily autonomy – yes, even if they have a uterus, yes even if they are affected by an abortion ban as well. Granting them the status of automatic victims, even when they are actively working to destroy the rights of others, purely on the basis of what they have between their legs isn’t feminism. It isn’t female allyship. They’re not helpless – they’re actively working against you. And you can say that that’s sad, or that they’re mislead, or that they’re ‘not voting in their best interest’, or whatever else you want, but it doesn’t change the fact that they’re women, and that they’re nonetheless on the wrong side of this.
Or, put another way:
Stop treating abortion as a men vs. women fight. It’s a fight between a far right agenda and people who value bodily autonomy of any kind.
It’s not a man-woman issue but neither is it really a bodily autonomy issue; that is a mischaracterization.
The real issue is human life, when it begins and how much it matters.
Of course if you have already determined that human life doesn’t start at a given point during gestation you are going to come to the conclusion that what you do about a pregnancy is purely a personal choice - personal autonomy.
Whereas if you think that human life does begin at some point prior to birth then you conclusion is based on your valuation of human life.
You can argue about which is correct and in fact if we’re going to argue at all it should be about that, but is factually incorrect to claim that pro-life people want to oppress women and deny personal autonomy just as it is incorrect to claim that pro-choice people are blood-thirsty baby-killers.
The fact that pro-choice and pro-life aren’t even taking stands on the same paradigm should be the biggest indicator that people aren’t talking about the same thing
I’d best be seeing that anti JKR energy for this twilight show too bc Smeyer continuing to profit off the Quileute tribe is not cute
I keep seeing people on Twitter being all "I'm sure they'll be more respectful and mindful of the Quileute tribe this time around."
Except, they won't be. Even if they get actual Native American actors to play these characters, even if they bring on a Native American to serve as a cultural advisor, it wont matter. Why? Because Smeyer appropriated a real Native American tribe and twisted their culture and history in her fantasy books for her own profit.
This fictional Quileute Tribe is and always will be disrespectful to the real life Quileute tribe.
Yes a fantasy author took something real and added fantasy.
Did you know that in real European folklore vampires aren’t sparkly?
Treating one group of people as if they too delicate to handle a fantasy version of their history and mythology while your ignore the exact same occurring with a different group only betrays your internal bias against them.
Like i remember a time when patriarchy the 101s of feminism and words like objectifying were a million times more common on this site tf happened
Tbh i think ppl misinterpreted the first wave of anti bioessentialist "men are human beings" posts (v good posts) as posts endorsing whatever men suffer from under patriarchy as being equal to or even greater than that of what women suffer. Like someone said "don't act like men are just violent evil human beings by virtue of being men that's shitty" and someone else was like "yes.........thus making blanket statements about men as oppressors or talking about feminism that doesn't also cave to men's feelings is 100% toxic and must be purged" and now here we are
That’s a fun straw man.
And if you do want to operate out of the idea that patriarchy theory then factually men are the biggest victims.
Men die more, in war and work, men work more, men suffer disproportionately from mental illness, drug addiction, suicide and homelessness.
So in objective terms men aren’t doing great, so even if the idea of group responsibility were remotely valid instead of the collectivist bigotry that it is, it really doesn’t make sense.
Oh yes, those oppressors, the ones who are disproportionately suffering under the system the prop up out of habit and cultural imperative, those are oppressors, that’s what we call those.
It also ignores the role that women (by necessity) play to uphold modern gender ideas.
Which is another reason patriarchy theory isn’t universally viable if it is at all.
And I don’t know what world you’ve been living in but “please don’t hate men just for being men” isn’t an plea that exists in a world where men’s feelings are catered to.

eurovision’s support for the israeli apartheid extends beyond its allowance of israel to participate, it’s how it validates israel as a state, platforms israeli public figures and portrays them as disarming, and encourages funding to israeli companies. it’s not enough to boycott the event, which a disgusting amount of people still do not do, you must actively advocate against it. post in opposition to it on social media platforms. discourage family and friends from buying tickets or streaming it. raise awareness about the israeli war crimes eurovision wants to cover up.
I don’t take any criticism of Israel seriously if it’s apparent that there is no solution that would make the person criticizing happy.
Okay fuck it if this post reaches 666k notes by the end of 2023 I'll practise basic self care
Why 666k? Because it's funny and impossible so good fucking luck
I think this is reachable and we can do it SO PREPARE FOR SELF CARE
me when I find whoever keeps forcing interracial gay couples in movies and TV shows to have a white person in the relationship
If you take any random two people in America where 66% of the population is White the odds that you don’t have one white person is 11% of the time.
This is born out by the real statistics where most interracial couples are half White.
why are you back on my blog
I love it when people pretend that other people are crazy for caring about something that they obviously care about too.
Who made this post darling, the Holy Ghoste⸮
Diaspora wars will always be moronic because the world literally will join hands to be antiblack.
Do you hear it now?
You’re defining yourself by your race and ignoring your culture.
It makes a certain amount of sense in the wake of shared danger but only if the danger is agreed upon.
You may not do it personally but when Black Americans assume their identity comes from their race they often assume that other Black people must share that identity. Which becomes rather problematic when Americans try to imperialize the cultures and experiences of other people.
So really, complaints of diaspora wars are often complaints that there’s resistance.
People seem to be upset that people are resisting their benevolent rule.
You really need to go outside and talk to grass or something because based off of this, I suspect you are a headache in the lives of everyone you know.
Work on that
How very flattering to say.
But I’m afraid if minor dissent is enough to give you headache then you’re going to need a stronger painkiller.
Because the world is never going to be the shape you’d like most.
Is it the username that attracts the jokers who teachers passed in high school because they said “ Fuck them kids” ?
The Roman pictures I don’t even own or gif?
Is it my hair? ?
Why me?! Whyyyyy?!
Poor little lamb,
Got a bit to comfy in the echo chamber I suppose.
“It’s really quite Trumpian for Joe Biden to openly say that willingly unvaccinated people will suffer and die 😒 😒”
C’mere. I got a little secret.
You remember Grandpa Joe? The VP who was funny because he wore aviator glasses and ate ice cream and always fist bumped President Obama?
Yeah, before he was VP, he was known as the off the cuff guy, but that his passions also make him a stone cold asshole sometimes.
Sure, he stood up for the little guy, like when he ripped the Reagan administration for not boycotting South Africa during apartheid. But he was also the person who recently shoved his finger in a grown man’s chest because the man said Biden wanted to take his guns, and Joe all but said “you bet I do.” That was last year, during a union stop to get support. A dude got mad and shouted at him, he shouted right back, cause that’s who he is.
He’s the guy who said in his day, if “a man raised his hand to a woman, you had the job to kick the living crap out of him if he did it. Excuse my language.” He said this to college students at an White House event against sexual assault - if you know a man who abuses women, then do something.
Dude’s not well known for mincing his words. If you expected coddling from Joe Biden…I don’t know what to say.
If you’re not getting vaccinated and you have the ability to, Joe Biden wasn’t ever gonna be your friend. He’s not gonna be nice about it, cause he knows your choices are hurting people, and it’s pissing him off.
You’re far too invested in the moral fiber of a man who supported segregation and was incredibly homophobic.
Consider that Biden might just be a power hungry opportunist that doesn’t actually care about your moral framework. That’s of course supposing that he’s still mentally sound which some people do doubt.
I find it especially ironic how your defending Biden’s open contempt for people exercising their human rights when the main, or at least the most valid, criticism of Trump was that he was a loudmouth that didn’t think things through.
Sorry that I take more stock in Biden’s recent actions as a Vice President and senior congressman rather than his actions as a freshman congressman in 1975.
Sorry that I think it’s actually just fine to blame people who refused to get vaccinated for the continual spread of a deadly disease, as well as the overtaxing of our hospitals and the mental drain on our doctors and nurses.
Sorry that you don’t remember that Biden was the person who pressured Pres Obama to take a firmer stand on gay marriage by openly affirming his support of Marriage Equality to the press.
Sorry I was more upset at Trump enacting things like, idk, a Muslim ban, or ignoring that Covid existed and was a problem for the first 3-6 months as the pandemic raged, or that trump pressured foreign countries into finding political dirt on his opponents and lied on an hourly basis.
And if you’ll notice the content of this post is more about “Biden will be open and loud about his opinions even if that pisses some people off” rather than defending his ~moral fiber~.
Biden got dragged yesterday for calling a Fox reporter “fucking stupid” for asking if inflation would help Biden’s election chances. And he’s right - the question was fucking stupid, even if he didn’t realize he was mic’ed up when he called him that. That’s what this post is about.
Biden has been openly prejudiced for far more recently than the seventies.
“"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy…”
That was in 2007 describing Barack Obama, the man who would later chose him as his running mate to settle the fears of the DNC.
This man had been working with Black politicians for decades and Obama was the first one that was clean and articulate⸮
And sure he may have only called Gay federal employees a security risk in the seventies but in the ‘90s he voted to block HIV+ immigrants, voted for “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell”, Voted for DOMA and then promoted codifying heterosexual marriage as the norm of marriage into the constitution in the ‘00s, publicly opposed gay marriage in 2008
And then coincidentally changes his mind right as public support crosses 50%?
And who can forget his “you ain’t Black” comments.
Biden has a history of accidentally exposing massively prejudiced beliefs and if you believe that he truly changed his mind at the same time it was politically beneficial that’s your decision not the general consensus.
But don’t pretend you’re not using two standards of behavior, Trump and Biden are both loudmouths you just like and agree with Biden.
There was no Muslim ban, the list of banned countries didn’t include most Muslim majority nations and included all their non-Muslim citizens. Not that it matters, the list was created by the Obama administration.
And the vaccine you’re so dedicated to? Created during the Trump administration, along with the stipend checks and quarantine.
Meanwhile the pandemic spreads faster than ever in the Biden administration.
As for political dirt, it’s not as if Trump had to look far, billions of dollars in shady deals in the former Soviet block seem to have done the trick nicely for the Biden family
Trump did lie, so does Biden, politicians lie, the fact that you’re so blind to Biden’s misdeeds might invalidate your criticisms if you’re dedication to defending an old racist hadn’t already ruined your credibility.
You want to criticize Trump, so be it, you want to call people who accepted those flaws fascists and racists, people without a moral backbone. That’s fine.
But if you’re willing to overlook flaws, don’t act like your the moral superior of people who do the same.
