*gets bodychecked while playing women's lacrosse and breaks my nose* this is perfectly normal if the person who did this to me was born with the Moon Goddess Innocence Genitals but misogynistic violence if the person who did this to me was born with the Violent Penetration Genitals
*Not wearing makeup and dresses* this is accepted as feminist progress if the person was born with the Moon Goddess Innocence Genitals but lazy and undeserving of respect if the person was born with the Violent Penetration Genitals.
"Marriage is just a piece of paper" is such an insultingly deceptive cope, if you actually thought that then it'd be no big deal for you to get one, or else you wouldn't have to come up with any other excuses not to commit
Marriage is not just a piece of paper you’re right, it’s a complex legal agreement that has requirements and obligations that don’t work for everyone.
I’ll go ahead and say it: your obsession with gay people is nobody’s problem but your own.
If anything, gays are obsessed with their gayness. You don't see heterosexual people having a whole month dedicated to their sexuality or parades to show what it is and who it is they prefer in their bedroom. Sin is sin, and repentance is needed. So, repent and turn to Jesus Christ. May He bless you 🙏🏼 ✝️.
You are thoroughly idiotic
Do greedy CEOs realize that the death penalty for killing a CEO isn't a deterrent if people are going to die from poverty anyway?
Insurance CEO denies your claim. You can't afford the medical care you need. You die from not receiving that medical care. The CEO profits and forgets you ever existed.
Insurance CEO denies your claim. You can't afford the medical care you need. You kill the CEO. You die from being sentenced to death. The CEO is also dead. Other CEOs worry that they could be next. Other CEOs may be afraid to deny a claim.
Which scenario is preferable?
And as others have pointed out, if the punishment for destruction of property is the same as assassination, what motivation do people have to elevate the issue gradually?
"you cannot have a category of person that stops being a person or everyone that someone wants to get rid of is going to end up being put in that category" and other really fucking obvious and basic observations that everyone ignores in favor of putting people they want to get rid of into a category they think makes them stop being a person
I've found that it's not really a productive thing to worry about.
I do think that there are appropriate and inappropriate uses for violence but, especially in modern society, it seems to me the rate of violence and the approval of violence is loosely correlated to how desperate people are.
And if that is the case moralizing is not going to solve the problem alone.
True Christianity is inherently antiracist
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free person, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:28
And thus True Christianity should be Queer-affirming too.
You can not have sex-selective moral codes if you’re using that verse
These aren’t memes any more these are political and social critiques
"I know military interventions don't actually help civilians and I don't want to bomb them, but, I do agree with the justification we are using to bomb the country. Also I supported the American Invasion and Occupation of Iraq"
I feel like that’s a pretty normal set of beliefs.
If someone wanted to shoot smokers on sight I could agree that smoking is a horrible thing that is immoral in numerous ways and that no one should do it, whiles also agreeing that it’s not a valid reason to shoot someone.
Are you arguing that dictatorships should exist?
The justification is used because it builds on popular sentiment.
Very many white LGBT people understand the idea that the societal concept that CisHet is the ‘standard’ or ‘default’ state of a human, at best, is a flattened look at the human experience, and worse a dangerous idea that leads to discrimination. Yet not very many of them seem to grasp the similar concept that thinking white people are the ‘default’ or ‘standard’ version of a person also leads to the same thing.
I think that there is a difference in some key ways.
Queer people and alternative families in general are legally oppressed or at least face legal hurdles that prevent them from living normally.
I do not believe that three families living on the same street of the same suburb in America have drastically different legal realities only because of race.
Where there is some legitimacy to this idea is cultural.
The idea that Black kinky or braided hair is viewed differently is a legitimate difference and it should be kept in mind
I would argue that the cultural default can exist to varying degrees some stronger than others, but the cultural default excludes many more people that you might realize.
Rural people come to mind.
sigh

Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood is also exploring whether chemical castration could be made mandatory.
This is true
Hideous
Renee Nicole Good should be proof enough that ICE will go after anyone. It's not just minorities. They'll kill everyone who may even be in the same fucking area as them.
Pretty sure if you don’t intentionally spend your day driving around following ICE and harassing them, use your vehicle to interfere with their enforcement of immigration law, and then try to run one of them over (stopped only by icy roads), you’re good.
She wasn’t just “in the area”. She was actively posing a threat with her vehicle.
I think the American thing to say is that you should be able to “pose a threat” read: drive a car or harass law enforcement without being summarily executed in the street.
What kind of monarchical slavish devotion to the state is this, it’s like Americans forget their roots.
begging everyone to get ten times more misandrist RIGHT now holy shit it’s imperative at this point
What is wrong with you
For me, censorship laws are a lot like the death penalty. There are people I wish would die, but I don't want the government to have any say over who lives or dies (because then they can stretch laws out to justify killing someone they dont like). There are stories that I think are reprehensible and should have never been written, but I don't want the government to have any say over which stories are reprehensible (because then they can stretch out what they deem wrong out to fit anything they don't like)
This feels much more honest to me than “only one side would ever want to ban books.” I can think of a lot of things many leftists I’ve met wouldn’t want people getting a hold of if we had our druthers.
The difference is just that I don’t think getting our druthers would do much, and it would as mentioned give power to governments that I don’t think they should have.
I want a world where kids who come across, say, Nazi shit are trained in critical thinking, and where they trust adults around them enough that they can say, “I found this, and I don’t know what to think,” and have that adult help them reason for themselves why it’s bad.
This is just one controversial claim supported by and even more controversial claim,
